Doesn't sound like a move that would fit the Morey blueprint.

Just cause a writer in AZ says it, doesn't mean Morey is thinking it.

After the LeBron, Wade, and Bosh drama, now it is the Rocket's turn: Gortat, Chandler, Thomas, etc. Kind of sad. Some exciting speculation!

I'm going to stop checking for developments until next season. It has become more depressing than exciting.

The Miami will get Bosh, Miller, and Lebron.

We will get...Kurt Thomas. The world isn't fair :( :p

On a side note, I would rather have Deke back. Thanks but no thanks :)

I wouldn't be so quick to laugh about corpses - Jermaine O'Neal's just got 2 years, $12 million.

Per Rileydog's thread . . . these rumors just tell me Yao's got one year to put out or take a hike. The more expiring centers we look at and the more older, washed up vets we are looking at, the more Rileydog's thread makes sense.

Reduce commitments beyond this year, but give us the chance to contend this year.

After seeing the three divas in action, who would want any of them here? Not me. Compare their antics to the total professionalism of Yao Ming. We are truly fortunate to have so many class acts to cheer for.

or Yao could be holding out for a no-trade clause in his next contract:

    Never played good defense?
Thomas is one of the best low post defenders in the league. He's like a taller Chuck Hayes. It is very difficult to get anything going on the offensive end against Kurt Thomas. Sound, strong, excellent defender. That's his bread and butter.

True, and Thomas used to hit pretty well from the mid-range, though I admit to only seeing him in a handful of games the last two years. He's insurance to keep strong post scorers from going wild if Hill can't stick it out at the 5, plus a good guy for Patterson to learn a little D from.

And if you saw him to day you will have noticed that he tried to play Center and was outplayed. Let him develop as a back up PF, which is his position! :p
