This is not meant to be a bashing thread. There are plenty of others for that.

My first thread is half serious, half funny, and half pure imagination—seems like ClutchFans summed up.

The theme song for ESPN's "The Decision" special presentation was "Not Afraid," by Eminem. Here are some lyrics that stuck out.

I know that the song is popular at the moment, but does anyone else think that ESPN purposely chose this song for the lyrics? They played this portion of the song four times last night.

I think it may have been ESPN's only way to express its 'voice' in a quiet way without saying "LeBron, please get this over with." Of course it's overanalyzing everything, but that's what I do.

    What are your thoughts?

Well... Not Afraid is the number one song on the billboards right now... Could it have a hidden meaning? I'd prefer to believe it's just coincidence.

I don't have confidence in the LeBron Network to do something like this.

i believe that espn did it on purpose. if anyone watched OTL yesterday at 2, there was the host interviewing 6 people about lebron's decision. one of the people was chris broussard. he basically looked tired of talking about lebron, and actually said that all of us here at espn helped create this monster, so theres no one to blame but ourselves (paraphrasing). he went on about how for hours and hours everyday, all he did was answer the same questions all day concerning lebron. the other 5 people on the show all agreed. i think espn knew what they were doing.

Yeah, and I'm sure there was some super hidden meaning when they were jamming Rob Thomas songs down our throat for a couple years too

I too think that ESPN did it on purpose. Broussard looked beat leading up to and during the first part of "The Decision" when they kept asking him where LeBron was going. I think they just wanted it to be finally over.
