there are still some decent FA out there, just not the super star trio. If you have to make a trade of AB or Lowry, Nate Robinson is a FA to fill the spot. You just have to look. A guy like Tony Allen would be a great addition if we traded Ariza or Battier. It's not like we have super stars on our team except for Yao, and it's not like Morey doesn't know how to find good role players. DM will trade anyone on our team not named Yao for a star player because he knows he can find guys to fill those spots.

This is the same exact post I made on another thread....

I honestly don't see Morey making a move until summer league is almost over or actually over....He will do exactly what he did with Donte Green when we drafted him and used him as trade bait with the Kings for Artest....I can see him doing that with either Patterson or Hill...He will use the summer league to build up value for a number players (Hil, Patterson, Budinger, etc.)...one team will overvalue and pull the trigger and Morey will make a steal...I'm not saying I want it to happen, but a potential scenario....now that Beasley is going to Minny that leaves Jefferson as the odd man out....again I'm not saying I want Jefferson or not, but I could see Morey waiting it out and then swinging a trade involving Patterson or Hill and some other assets/pics to acquire Jefferson...Or they could still pursue Miller if the money is right...if not, I see them standing pat and maybe swinging a deal at the deadline involving Jeffries, Battier, and other players...IMO

I'd target Iguodala, he'll give us defense, ballhandling and a 3rd option behind Yao and Martin. Plus, he's very durable

It sounds like you're saying Morey isn't going to make a big splash for a good player until after the other teams outbid each other so that we get the leftovers. Well (now that we actually have some trade assets to go after big names with!), from what I understand, he went all out for Bosh first and foremost so doesn't that refute your argument? Would you have categorized us as a mediocre team if Bosh hadn't been set on teaming up with Wade?

I have to disagree. I think its finding value in players and getting them for the right price. All the players he has brought in fit very well with the team. It's unfortunate that our two 'stars' have not been available to play with the supporting cast that has been put around them due to injuries. Nothing Morey can do about that.

I say give Martin, Ariza and Hill a chance to play around Yao before passing judgement. He tried to get a all-star talent in Bosh, but Bosh chose to go elsewhere. How can you fault Morey for that? We had a much better roster that Miami. Bosh just hapens to be real good friends with Wade. He has said, he knows the team needs a superstar talent. He is trying to get that.

The market for Richard Jefferson is rapidly shrinking

Worth a shot, especially with his price going down.

My gut tells me they'll still make a trade this summer. I doubt they'll sign any of the remaining free agents, unless it's Brad Miller.

I still like this option, although I doubt he'll be available until the trade deadline at best.

You sir, are a successful troll!

Or you are severely mentally challenged. Either way, I'm happy you are not our GM.

Cannot understand the fascination for wanting to trade AB.... He has yet to even hit his stride...

The Rockets don't need superstars they need the right pieces to fit the puzzle that's already being put together.

Just because you have Superstars does not guarantee the Gold or the Trophy.... Ask the men's USA basketball team about that.

That would be a great trade for the Rockets but why would the Bobcats do this?

That would be an absolute steal but I'm not sure if they would do it. Would you be willing to give up Brooks and Ariza and fillers for Granger and Ford?

    what now MOREY?

the big three just signed. and the only thing that the rockets did this offseason is to draft and sign pdpatt.

what now morey? i havent seen your magic to work. pls pls pls this offseason is killing our team without doing any improvements.
