How sweet is it going to be when Yao and company beat the Heat for a ring?

I really think that Houston could be the worst match up for Miami with Yao and speedy Aaron Brooks, we're a very unique team which can cause match up problems. Lebron has never really played well against Houston and I think we could keep Bosh in check, my biggest fear would be Wade.

Yao Ming is not good enough to turn a lottery team into a championship team.

I also love how people here are assuming we'll just breeze right through the Western Conference to meet the Heat in the Finals.

Come on, man. Don't be all negative and stuff.

I still think it's way, way too early to consider the Heat anywhere near elite. That team has a ton of work ahead in order to be a decent team. I think people are overrating the willingness of NBA vets to go there for the chance to win a ring. No NBA role player is going to take 1/3 of his value just to go play with the new Big Three.

Thanks. I needed some sanity with my morning.

Not to mention, a healthy Yao is a major assumption well before the first tip of the first round.

Three stars together rarely works.....it worked in Boston because they got a young guy in Rondo.....

But in Houston with Barkley, Dream and Drex...nope....or Pippen, Barkley and Dream...nope....

Or LA with Kobe, Shaq, Payton, & Malone.....nope.

Only one ball ladies and germs....one ball.

    Whatever...lol....

Yao coming back healthy is going to elevate this team a ton, I know people are down on his injuries, how could you not be, but we have him under contract for one more year, and so we might as well enjoy the ride.

    This isn't the same thing.

That Lakers team had a washed up Malone and Payton and if Malone had never went down in the playoffs they would have won a ring. The Rockets trio were washed up vets (according to Barkley himself).

Yao isn't coming back healthy; haven't you watched recent video of him attempting to walk?

Right now Rockets fans are distressed to the nth degree. Fans like you and I are few and far between. This league is not a two team league. Teams of greatness fail everyday. Injuries happen to both players who deserve it and players who don't. Did you know statistically speaking when a player is playing at his best he is more prone to injury than when he is in a slump(Men's Health)? To count out this Rockets team, to count out Yao Ming, to count out what we have accomplished this far is asinine and above all wrong. Nothing is written, and this team will come to play.

It's going to be really sweet. At least until the heroin wears off.

Uhhh, didnt the lakers already have the best player in basketball?

Seriously, what is it with you guys?

Where is it a written rule that to be a fan of a team means you are required to be a delusional homer?

This is like the Cavs fans being convinced they will win a championship this year without Lebron. Ugh, get real folks....
