I agree with the points DVau brought up. I'll go with whatever Moe decides, of course, but I just wanted it to be known that I wont throw a hissy fit if the CPU - Human transactions are thrown out. I just didn't want to get left behind on the cpu raping(even though the trades I made actually made my team worse for this year, imo)
Truthfully, the computer on Madden is pretty smart in this year's version. In fact, it can be more difficult than dealing with a human GM. In the trade of Gary for a second round pick, which most felt Manny got the better deal, the computer wouldn't even take that pick. I don't think the computer trading is totally a bad idea, but I think moe should have some discretion so that the teams aren't totally screwed. If there's one weakness the computer has, it's that it doesn't really seem to factor the age in players like Seau in the equation when working a deal. I don't see any of these trades, outside of the Seau and Dilfer ones, that can turn a team from good team to contender. I think it brings an added dimension to the game, and it's not all bad. I just think moe should have some discretion to overturn a CPU trade if it is that bad. P.S. If the computer trading stands, those that don't have Madden can talk to me or others in the chat that have the game to test out trades. I'm willing to help.
I noticed that too about Gary, pretty funny. It takes age into the equation a whole lot, but not with 98 rated players (the 1st round pick is what made that trade, and many others happen). I can help anyone that needs it to.
Crisco - The Computer rejected both of your trades, according to the update, Dilfer is injured for 8 weeks, therefore cannot be traded. Truthfully, I think you all would agree that dev is an easier trade than the CPU. In my experience so far, The CPU trades are pretty fair except for the age thing as Cat pointed out, As I highly respect your opinions as 2 time champion DV, I concluded the following. 1.) Since people who own the game i.e. Smallz, NYK, myself, can just play their own game and find out their own trades, it gives them a unfair advantage. 2.) All People will only get 1 CPU-Human Trade for the duration of the sim, If you already used it, You get no more. 3.) Since NYK got 2 trades, The Brian Urlacher Trade is Disallowed. Urlacher is still a member of the Chicago Bears. Now, Lets Get to the Game, I will be posting rosters shortly.
Rams/CPU trade: Rams trade: Trung Canidate Leonard Little Rams 1st round pick Bears (CPU) trade: Brian Urlacher Bears 4th round pick
when I got the update, It moved Jennings to LT, and he had a higher rating. As a result, the Bills would not accept the 1st trade. so The Following Trades will now not go through because of this.
Bucs/Dolphins trade Bucs get Ricky Williams Larry Chester 4th rounder Dolphins get Anthony Mcfarland Michael Pittman 1st rounder
Spurriers trade: 1st round pick 2nd round pick Jesse Armstead Bears trades: Rosevelt Colvin Marty Booker Terrance Metcalf
Yet another Lions/Birds of Prey Trade -Lions Trade- Bill Schroeder -Falcons Trade- Reggie Kelly 4th round pick And once again, the Lions confirm
