As Morey said that Hill is a top 5-6 player talent wise in last year's draft, he's going to be as good as, or even better than Bosh IMO. Remember Hill has some amazing phisical attributes(height, reach...) only slightly below Bosh, and the vertical is better and phsically he's much tougher than Bosh(who's considered a soft player with injury concern). I'm actually glad we didn't land Bosh, because our coaching staff is superior in terms of bringing the big man up to speed. People gave way too much credit to Morey, but forgot that it's coaches who have developed Landry/AB... day by day and minute by minute. (Stats Borrowed from jev5555: thanks) Bosh rookie season per 48 min 16.7ppg | 10.8rpg | 1.5apg | 2.0to | 1.2spg | 2.2bpg | 46%/36%/70% Jordan Hill rookie season per 48 min 19.2ppg | 15.0rpg | 1.8apg | 2.4to | 0.6spg | 1.5bpg | 53%/00%/66%

I think Hill's upside is severely underrated on this board. I would have been OK giving him up in the trade for Bosh, but outside of that, a team would really have to work to pry him out of my hands.
No, he won't be. But there's an excellent chance that he'll be a very good player. Hopefully he's improved his hands (and propensity to leave his feet on every fake).
Good. I like your upbeat optimism. Now go buy the tech stocks I own. In my opinion they are better than GOOGLE.
He might be, but to win it all, we don't need him to be that good...but it would be GREAT if it happens. DD
Why do people compare measurements and think that has anything to do with how good of a player he can be? Yes, Hill measures comparably to Bosh.. but so do a lot of players who never made it in the NBA. Skill wise, which is all that matters when you step on the court, Bosh is on another tier. Hill has a long way to go before he even approaches Bosh.

I agree with the OP, everyone is so quick to proclaim him trade bait without giving him a chance to develop in the rockets/RA's system. guarentee you wont be so willing to let him go that easily by the end of next season
Hill's upside is severely overrated. He will probably be a nice player in this league and maybe even a starter on a good team some day but the All Star predictions and the comparisons to current stars is ridiculous. He's a high energy player with a raw offensive game, good (not great) athleticism and bad hands. Simply put, he has strengths but he has serious flaws too. And as far as his super-duper athleticism, those draft numbers don't seem to be translating into in game production very much now do they? Just let the kid be what he will be and stop making these leaps of faith to predict he will be better than X player.
I don't think Hill will even get close to what Bosh is, but I hope I'm wrong. Lets see what he can do in the summer league games. So far his only skill on offense is to dunk the ball. If he can do more than dunk, I would like to see it in these summer league games.
