That is me. It is still too early to claim the winner yet, but I like my chance. It is rather surprising for me to see there are quite a few who successfully predicted the final between Spain and Netherlands and I am the only one picked Netherlands for the champion.
I joined a predictor challange at my work, and I had the semi-finals: England-the Netherlands Germany-Spain and the finals the Netherlands - Spain Winner the Netherlands. I'm winning that challange :grin:
I noticed that as well.... The only way Netherland has a chance to win is by stacking players in the back, seems like the countries that have done it this way have frustrated the Spanish. Spain is too damn good in the midfield for anyone to try to battle them up front. I only played the first round, filled it up before the world cup started, then forgot that i had joined........and I still somehow ended up 8th.
I got Spain winning it all. If they win it, it would be the first time in WC history where a team that lost its opener has gone on to win the whole thing

I picked the Netherlands as a champion there too, I was leading that game but I only got one team of the 4 that got to the semifinals, and thats why I got behind, but If Netherlands I will be 2nd place!
I hope Pedro got a severe tongue lashing for doing that by the coach. If he does some crap like that in the final, he should be subbed out.

Hmm. seems like almost everyone is picking Spain to win it all. One thing about this dutch team is that just when everyone is counting 'em out, they will pull through. My pick is Netherlands.
A Spain and Holland world cup final, my kinda world cup. I am happy either team wins, however I would like to see the Dutch to win it a little bit more. One thing for sure, the final won't be boring. It's real close to call.
Offensively, I think Dutch might be slightly better. Defensively, Spain has edge. I think your goalie is a concern. You cannot play safe against the Spanish. They have shown they have have no problem beating opponents by just one goal. Attack, attack and attack. Get them early, open them up.
