this is great news for the rockets! of course the knicks could be a better team next year -- but they're going to need Amare to hold up for the whole year the value for those knick picks is still lookin' good
o a bunch of guys from a bad Warriors team, including a guy who was benched by the coach due to lack of effort (Randolph) plus a no-defense playing Amare, plus a third rate PG are going to be a playoff team, even a a poor east? Doubtful.....
Would you SnT Scola for Randolph & Turiaf? Not sure I would, but just thinking ... gives us a decent C, upside in Randolph, and makes knicks picks worth more?
Wow the Knicks are going to suck big time. All the big names are committed right? It's Amare and scrubs. If Amare goes down for any length of time.....
While Lebron not going to New york helps the rockets as far as the knicks picks go, in a way it would have been better had he stayed because now there is another open spot for the playoffs that the knicks could get. it would be nice if the pick was a lottery pick so there is at least a small chance they could get the second or third pick.... Overall, its good for the Rockets that he didnt choose New York, but him not choosing cleveland hurts the picks value a little more than him staying there. I guess we will have to wait and see what happens next season though. The 8th spot is still open to a lot of crappy teams in the east.
No I like proven commodities over "potential". Randolph was benched last year in GS and Turiaf is half the player that Scola is. This guy scored 42 freakin points in a game just this last season and you want to trade him for "potential".
Eastern conference Power rankings(as it currently stands): 1. Boston (defending eastern conference champs) 2. Miami (new big three) 3. Orlando 4. Chicago 5. Atlanta 6. Milwaukee 7. Indiana (finally have a healthy Danny Granger) 8. Charlotte(made great strides last year) .............. 9. Philly 10. New Jersey 11. Washington 12. New York (Typical Lottery team; good offense, really bad defense) 13. Detroit 14.Toronto 15. Cleveland --RB
8) New Jersey. It's odd, but they may add a couple of more pieces and they have some solid players already, and Avery will coach them up.
This sounds about right, at least Washington, Philly, and NJ added great pieces in the draft unlike NY. Detroit might surprise. It will be the Knicks, Raptors, and Cavs battling it out for the cellar.
