DM, you do realize we're talking about Tyson Chandler here? Let's agree to disagree on this one and wait to see how it either pans out or unravels.

Boy from the Hill, you do realize that Tyson Chandler has been a very effective player at points right? If he's utilized correctly he can really play a strong role on a team.

I'd be willing to bet money that is the case. We're probably offering Toronto the lower of our pick or the Knicks pick and we're probably taking Toronto's pick. Miami is all in on the deal. Charlotte is dumping salary. They're all in. The holdup is Toronto wanting a better pick to S&T this deal.

Neither is much use on the court? No, Jeffries is not much use on the court. Chandler, while nothing terribly special, is a very viable back up center, which we NEED. The problem before was every team expected Chandler to be a decent starting center. In that scenario of course he falls short, but if your just asking him to be a back up and an insurance policy for Yao, he more than fits that need. And in the end, if it doesnt work out, his contract s expiring.

I just can't see it. Chandler is an upgrade of Jeffries in every sense for this team. No one is going to give us a pick to make this deal.

Maybe HillBoy needs to stop blowing his gasket and listen to this therapeutic song...

BTW: nice trade for the Rox.

Do you realize he has been a double digit rebounder numerous times, starting at center on playoff teams? You're an idiot

No way Morey parts with Budinger or Hill for a one year (or less) rental regardless of what Chandler's expiring contract may or may not be worth at the deadline.

We are talking about JARED JEFFRIES PEOPLE. WTF is wrong with ya'll. We do not need Jeffries on this team but we do need a shot blocking back up center and Chandler provides that.

He cant be worse than jeffries.

Agreed. David Anderson on the other hand is useless.

I can't believe there is an angst over this deal at all on these boards though. If the most valuable piece you give up in a deal is Jared Jeffries, it almost doesn't matter what you get back. You won.

The value of his expiring contract is not. I'm not sure about helping Miami at this point though.

I really doubt they NEED help. They are trying to make these guys as happy as possible, but I'm sure the reality is regardless of this deal the three guys have already made up their mind one way or another.

    Probably based on this:

If true then forget sending them anyone in the rotation.

That's not true. I have no agenda against the Rockets. I am not unreasonable but I am extremely skeptical given what I've witnessed coming from them over the past several decades. Now, if you want to have a serious conversation here and not throw around insults, we could discuss how moves like this are really all that Morey can make given the constraints he's working under. He took his shot with Bosh - it was a longshot but a shot nonetheless. And I would agree 100%. I would further agree that the plan was always to try to add a few pieces here and there and wait to see what happens with Yao. This proposed move fits in with that plan. But it's more fun to hurl insults just because someone doesn't agree with you.
