J.Hill over Brad Miller, he shot 43% as a big man... no deal

Slightly but Bosh was always a long shot and really you have to give Morey credit for at least putting us in the ballgame for a while.

Brad Miller is a huge pickup to backup Yao but that won't be the last move Morey makes this summer, even if it is just spare parts. If nothing else "significant" happens this summer, I'll bet you that some big happens at the deadline...count on that.

Any front court help would be a great pick up for the Rockets. It further gives the team depth. Chemistry plus depth often leads to success.

    YES!

brad miller is too old and not big enough to bang with the lakers. plus he is not a difference maker.

    i want a DIFFERENCE MAKER!

The Brad Miller pick-up is going to be about 2 years too late, see, e.g., Barry, Brent.

He had what is probably his worst season as a professional last year at age 33.

Anybody think the arrow is pointing up?

There are still very good power forwards out there.

    David Lee
    Al Jefferson
    Carlos Boozer

B.Miller can shoot that 15 footer and extend the defense, he is not too old. Plus he is a pest, he plays hard... think of charles oakley, hate to play against him , but love to play with him. He would fit the team nicely. I like HIll also, but why not have both if possible, there isn't much Morey can do with only MLE money. So we stand pat unless there is a player on trading block.

Absolutely not! We're adding Yao Ming and Pattrick Patterson, so getting Brad Miller is icing on the cake. We have enough expiring assets to pull a deal at mid-season if the need arises.

i hope im wrong but i dont see yao making a big impact next season coming off his foot surgery. at least not the impact we're used to seeing from him.

i dont think it's a stretch to say he'll be playing half the season with all things considered (surgery and injury history).

that's why i want another solid big body to hold the fort down when he's not playing.

boozer? sure. al jefferson? sure. haywood? sure.

If we only got brad miller I would say yes. But if we added Al Jeff then no.

    PG: Brooks/Lowry
    SG: Martin/Budinger/Taylor
    SF: Ariza/Battier
    PF: Jefferson/Scola/Hill/Pat Pat
    C: Yao/Miller/Hays

Our second team would be able to compete with most teams first team.

Rather have a younger and better Brendan Haywood, not a rich man's David Andersen.

It'll be an immensely disappointing off-season if we only have Brad Miller to show for it. I had no illusions (my posts about Wade, James, and Bosh on our team were a joke btw :p) that we'd have a dream team here, but I also wanted us to make some kind of splash this off-season. I was hoping for Bosh and we'll see on that one, but as far as the other players go... I don't know who else is out there that hasn't resigned and could make a difference for us. As in a championship and perennial 2nd round team at least difference.

If no Bosh then Morey didn't really try that hard.

Yeah, Morey didn't have the balls to kidnap his mom and hold her ransom. He didn't do everything he could...............................................

    Bosh to Miami. Great News.

Now, let's sign Brad Miller and get ready for some NBA Basketball.

    So far, so good.
