My two best friends in high school roomed together in college as freshmen, became really annoyed at each other's idiosyncrasies, and split up as sophmores. I went to a different school, had a random roommate, and had a great time together despite not really being close friends. So no, I don't see your point. Being friends does not mean you hang out all the time. Unless you're mayzar I guess. If Bosh likes Wade so much he'll accept mediocrity to be with Wade... I don't really want to go there.
Where's the proof that they were all over the place? find something that came directly from them and not pure speculation from "insiders". It's got the best weather out of all the destinations. Maybe he likes the city/area. Maybe that's the city he and gf want to settle down in the most? If that's the case it's probably the best combo for him. Nice city to live in and he's still got a good chance to win there. Plus he gets to play with a good friend of his.
The power play is on to get Bosh to Miami. It all depends on if Toronto is going to cooperate. Houston is dangling a better trade than Miami. BC knows Bosh wants the extra year and Bosh has held out to get the extra year. If Miami is dangling a big fate trade exception and the Raps own first rounder back in a S&T for Bosh and BC is refusing that deal, then you have to believe that Houston is offering more. I would imagine we are offering Hill, plus the 2011 pick swap in addition to expirings and one other piece like Ariza. That would trump a TE and the Raps own first rounder back.
At this point, Im all for this happening...that would be greatness to have them team up and not win a ring over a 6 year period. I would cherish every moment of their failures.
Kinda surprised y'all actually thought Bosh would come to Houston. The attraction was always one-sided. The Rockets wasted a boatload of time and effort on something that was never a realistic possibility. Bosh never once indicated he wanted to play in Texas, let alone Houston. In fact, I think he's said in the past that he would never play in Texas.
Yeah i have great friends i have never roomed with because I knew from having roommates it is the worst idea ever. Its not sure to fail since they are always having dinner and press conferences and meetings together? I tend to think this might be a special situation. Whatever that means. I mean they really really like each other.... Alot. :grin:
My other theory is? Morey is so quiet and out of the media right now. Which leads to me to believe we still have a shot in all of this because where is he lately? If he is still working? Then he is in business. That measn he can steal them with a SNT that only Toronto will do with us and either Bosh say no I take Miami and 96 million or us and the full max. Thats my 11th hour thinking that could be possible right now. Of course I am optimist and a realist at the same time. Too sides that always conflict and mix bad.
I don't fault Morey for giving it a shot, thats what makes him an elite GM, he goes after what he wants. However, I do believe a lot of fans here are spoiled by Morey, and seriously thought that we were favorites to land Bosh. This was never ever the case for the reasons that have been pointed out over and over again. Bosh never expressed interest in us. The official announcement of Bosh going to Miami or Chicago shouldn't be all that surprising to us, and I hope the fans aren't going to act all immature about it.

Isn't the conference call just for James on Thurs? I don't think there is one on Wed. Why would James get together with Bosh and Wade on Wed and then have another one on Thurs. Don't make sense.
I honestly am growing more and more fond of the idea of not getting Bosh. Scola is a great Power Forward who really puts in the effort. Hill could end up being a player similar to Bosh, He got half the minutes that Bosh got his rookie year and got about half the stats, I know that doesn't mean much but he was drafted in the top 10, it's too early to label him a bust. The team's success in winning a championship with or without Bosh will lay on Yao's health. I'll be excited if we land Bosh but if not we still can go out and compete, it's not like our team will get worse than last year if we bring out the same players + Yao and PPat.
