You know, last year during summer league, I was less than impressed with Jermaine Taylor's interviews. But he seems to have really matured and bought into the system since then. I am really excited to see this new and improved shot of his. He'll be one hell of a player if he's hitting his shots. I really enjoyed all of those interviews. I'm excited to see our Summer League team dominate!
I'm starting to think that the only reason we didn't draft Hassan Whiteside is because we already have Jordan Hill. Size- check Jumper- check Rebounding- check Shotblocking- check
Man I'm starting to get attached to this guy's. I was specially impressed by Jermaine Taylor's attitude and professionalism. Having him play more team oriented as well as developing his shot, will most certainly start opening up the lanes for him on the court, which lead to more of this..... He certainly is talented.
Why not? Chase is a wing who's a 3 more than a 2. Taylor is most definitely a 2 guard, not remotely a 3. I don't see the problem.
Some players in the same positions may Play Better against different opponents, that's the value of a having a Good Coach who will play the Best Rotation that will WIN the game. It would be better to see Taylor playing when the Rox are up by 20 not the other way around... The other Sweet Thing about Chase is his versatility to play shooting guard and small forward.
He impressed me when playing against the Lakers, he wasnt scared one bit. Chase is better suited at small forward because his defense is a liability. Chase was the most ready NBA player but Jermaine Taylor potential is higher
Man all i wish for is Jermaine Taylor to work his butt off and crack the rotation under rick adleman im just in love with his game amazing speed, slashing now a decent jumper, wow sounds like a jason richardson type player to me IMO.
Wow, I'm really impressed with our 2nd year guys and rookie. JHill -- "I would play anything they want me to play, even the 1 ... " He is already thinking of TEAM, what the team needs. CBosh is still playing for himself when he declared he doesn't want to play the 5. Chris, take lessons from Jordan, will you? JTaylor -- You can see the confidence in him. Not like last year when it seemed he was just lost out there. JT impressed me because he can play bang-up defense. I'm sure the confidence is also brought on by the fact that RA likes him. Hopefully he can be a sparkplug for us in the 2nd unit. CBudinger -- "No one has his spot solidified." He gets it. Such a talented guy but he's willing to work. PPatterson -- Acknowledging Hill and our other bigs. He can eventually develop into being the "leader" of our young guys. I see shades of Scola from all their answers. One season with the Rockets and they have imbibed the tea spirit and hard work that characterizes our team. Bosh, sign up elsewhere. I want to see our guys develop together. I hope Morey sees he has assembled a group of very inspiring guys. Yes, winning is the bottomline but I hope he realizes the fans look beyond the rings too. We have a quality franchise that we are very proud of and will support!!!
We still need a Hassan Whiteside on this team. Once this kid gets his bearings in the league, he will be a legit presence on the floor.
