I'll give them Battier/Jefferies, money and a pick or two. Ask Raptor release battier and sign him back.

The Rockets are going to get skipped over and we'll enter next season with what we have + a risky Yao. I don't really care at this point. The free agent soap opera isn't interesting anymore. I just want to see how well we can play with Yao.

That and the 13, 14, and 15 million owed over the next three years may have been the two biggest reasons.

Even if we could I wouldn't want Al and Yao on the same team together, both have serious injuries in the past and both play down low in the post. Their games do not compliment each other well.

I just can't hardly buy the two players idea. That would have to be Jeffries and Battier to come up with a salary match or possibly Ariza and Battier. Then we send them one pick? That would be unbelievable.

On the other hand, if that is actually the deal, then I would think we could then propose a mega sign and trade deal with Miami, sending them a re-signed Scola, Kevin Martin, and Brooks, and a pick for a maxed out DWade.

I really think this is Morey's play. If he can get Bosh in a S&T deal, I think he is going to go recruit Wade and tempt Miami with assets. Miami will have nothing left if Wade leaves. Wade can tell them he's walking to NY or NJ if they don't sign and trade him.

    Lowry
    Wade
    Budinger
    Yao
    Bosh

    Patterson or Hill
    Hayes/Brad Miller
Will Conroy or some other pg
    Randy Foye
    FA????

    Good nite

If we have any chance at Bosh....if we reeeeeeeeaaaaaally wanted him on the team (and, by now, it's obviously no smokescreen).....

....then it is obviously in Morey's best interest that most anything mentioned in the media downplays any interest that Bosh may have in Houston. And that Bosh and his agent keep their mouths SHUT.

    Remember Brandon Roy.

If Chris Bosh talked up Houston, Mark Cuban would jump in feet first to screw up the deal. If Pritchard (Portland?) were still employed, ditto.

You could say the same about other teams that might have the assets to trade for Bosh but such teams would have to be so under the radar as to arrive at the target (the first day of signing) with no advanced warning.

Can't say that I'm done, but frustrated for sure. Still holding out hope Bosh signs with the Rockets, though it seems he wants to be in Chicago with Lebron or Miami with Wade. I'm ready for this situation to come to an end one way or the other so Morey can work on plan B (he may already be). Until we hear otherwise, there is still hope

Why would a team want both Battier and Ariza? And why would Scola want to stay with a team that has Bosh, Hill, Hayes and Patterson? I'm sure Scola would be more willing to go to a team that could offer him a starting job than come off the bench for limited minutes.

Umm... and what is plan B? I think if Bosh doesn't come to us (and it seems that's the case), this roster will be the one we'll start with.

You're discounting Morey. Morey's mind(imo) isn't "Ok, we lost out on Bosh, call it an offseason". I got to think he'll make some sort of move before the season starts. It may be minor(Brad Miller?), it may be huge(Al Jefferson? David Lee? Just throwing out those names).

There is always a Plan B, now that plan may be to pickup spare parts now and make the splash at the deadline. Who would be plan B, who knows???

Come on, Hill, Hayes, and Patterson getting minutes ahead of Scola?

You're really doing Morey a disservice. He's always working toward improving the team and it's been said they have something like six plans. If he doesn't land Bosh, he will have other plans in mind. They may not take place before the season, but you can bet by the trade deadline Morey will have once again greatly improved our roster. Hell, our assets may be considerably more valuable by then if guys like Jordan Hill, Jermaine Taylor, Patrick Patterson and Chase Budinger show improvement. Such a development would make those players worth more in trade or make our veterans more expendable should a team prefer our veterans in trade.

Also, players like Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony may be available by the trade deadline. Hell, a guy like Dwyane Wade may be sick of losing by the tread deadline and demanding a trade out of Miami. You never know.

Personally, I find it incredibly comforting to know that no matter what happens, Morey isn't going to panic. He'll wait for the right deal or he won't deal. That's how we got Luis Scola. That's how we got Ron Artest. That's how we got Kyle Lowry and it's how we got Kevin Martin. It's also how we got Jordan Hill and the Knicks picks for McGrady's stinking corpse.
