Amare Stoudamire and Knicks agree on deal. Does this hurt are picks value? Breaking News on Espn. Chris Broussard reported Amare and Knicks Agree to five year 100 million dollar deal. I don think this hurts there are picks as is. But I hope no one else signs there as that could really hurt the value of our picks and some of that SnT leverage. But you know have to be planning on someone else. They cant be putting all their chips on Stoudamire. Or could they? Regardless of what happens I have faith Morey with Score us another elite player this summer.
breaking news huh????? in short, depends who else they may get, regardless, its 1st round picks, there still value regardless....
He's a sidegrade from David Lee. So far, they haven't done anything to increase their win/loss record, in my opinion; they might even get worse, given Stoudemire's injury history. Unless LeBron or Wade signs there, which is looking very unlikely at the moment, they'll still be in the lottery next season.
Nope. Not yet. Waite to see the next moves and check Amares injury history for details on why this could the best move ever for the Rockets.
I didnt say there wasnt value I said it hurts the value which it does. Especially if they get another elite player which they have to be trying to do. Anyways Im going too sleep.
I am sure the Knicks insisted on top 3 protection, but nobody had the inclination or assets to take Jeffries. It would be awesome, if we got the 2nd pick like Detroit did from Memphis. Morey is running the show, so I have confidence that he will choose a star instead of some raw undeveloped potential.
This is best case scenario for the Rockets providing it doesn't lead to another big-time free agent signing. Amare is the least attractive of all the big free agents this year, and the Knicks have now handcuffed themselves to this guy with another big contract. I would bet that 3 years down the road, they will be lamenting that contract. Amare is known to quit, puts in a half effort in rebounding, and plays very little defense. As a stand-alone player, he is not that great. If the team starts struggling we will see it again. He was to a large extent a beneficiary of Nash's PG brilliance. The Knicks won't be bad enough to get number 1 but have a chance at a top 10 if they get no one else this year. I do think they will be in a position for Carmelo/Parker next year. So the 2011 swap pick probably holds more value.
If Amare is as good as it gets for them, the picks should still be high up in the draft. That's from an I and E point of view.
