Because its ground hog day as a Rockets fan again. I see yet another opportunity slipping away right now. I see another injury coming. Yao doesnt have to make me Miss Cleo to predict that. I just have to see the constant pattern here. Every single year. Same stuff. I will be cheering and having a good time as a Rockets fan watching the game but I am not giving passes to our front office. Just pointing out the obvious mistakes and patterns that got us to the same place every single year.

lol wow u went back on that 1.. I hear ya but wat more can they do about Bosh? theyve done wat they can its jus that Bosh has us as his last option which bites but reality, Melo isnt gettin traded tho thats jus smokescreens by their FO theyre jus tryna get his attention IMO.. its really hard to sell FA's on coming to HOU ya kno? sucks to admit but we have to get a superstar via trade, draft or the way Moreys tryin now-S&T via patience as the last nerd picked at the park

i dont know why its tough to sell a free agent on the city though? Arent we a first class organization or have the Rockets been blacklisted somehow? If its Yaos fault for his injury history then we need to get rid of him if he is the reason we cant lure free agents here as an attractive place.

He's in almost nobody's top 5. Players who are superior without a doubt:
    Kobe, LeBron, Wade, Howard.

Players who almost everyone would agree are better:
    Durant, Chris Paul.

Players who Carmelo might be better than, but you'd have to put up a good argument:
Deron Williams, Pau Gasol, Chris Bosh, Yao Ming, Brandon Roy, Nowitzki, Nash.

Hillboy and I have reserved a spot for you on our thought train. Be prepared to be drowned by the assett and morey we trust police. DD mentioned yao as a reason we cant get high end talent and yet the fanboys bring out the borden milk . Theyve replaces elsie with yao as the cash cow.

Step one is playing out this free agency season. Step two is playing out the next one. Don't forget to watch the games and all that stuff in between!

I rather cheer for the Jazz then cheer for a traveling punk who is the leader of the Thuggets with his stupid friend killing sidekick J.r Smith. Screw Melodramtic and all he stands for!

Thomas wasn't really involved, but there was the fight in NY where threw a sucker punch at Mardy Collins while he wasn't even looking. The Nuggets were losing by like 20 and the game was almost over.

    1) At this point, we'd have to trade more to get Melo than we would to get Bosh.

    2) If we were able to trade for him, there's no guarantee he'd be here for more than one season.

    I doubt Melo is available.

If he was available though, then YES I would give up A LOT to land him.

LOVE to have Melo on the Rockets.

He will opt out of his deal next summer and becomes a free agent. I honestly don't think Denver will trade him this year. If they are willing to trade him, then Rockets should really pursue him. He is the best offensive player in the NBA today (Post up, mid range, 3 point shooter, Penetrate).

The Nuggets won't be able to get much from him because right now everyone's looking at his classmates from the draft being childish about having the ability to have every powerful person in the NBA waiting on hand and knee for their next step, playing one team off another and soaking it all in for as long as they can before tipping their hand as to where they go.

You think a team is going trade a lot of assets just to get that kind of diva treatment in only one year? I can guarantee you wherever Melo plays this next year be it Denver or elsewhere, that team won't be able to extend him for any amount of money or perks because Melo is looking at Lebron, Wade, and Bosh and saying to himself, "It's gonna be my turn next year." The Nuggets are stuck with him for better or worse.

Carmelo has privately said he wants to go to NY according to Broussard. Also said this is causing LeBron and Wade to reconsider things about going to NY. NY not the frontrunner for either but is causing them to rethink thing. Basically they would have Stoudemire in place as a running mate for this year, and next year, get Carmelo to come. NY has also called Denver, only to be rebuffed. Also said it would be hard to move 'Melo knowing he only has a year left and knowing he wants to go to NY, no one is going to give up valuable pieces. For what that's all worth. Sorry for the sloppy "recap".

Chris_Broussard: NYK's plan to have Amare and next yr Carmelo has intrigued LeBron. Not saying NYK is frontrunner (they're not) but they're gaining ground

    Houston4Boozer.com?

Shouldnt we explore all options? Boozer is a real good powerforward. Perhaps in the top 5 of powerforwards. He rebounds like Bosh and has had scoring season in the 20's consistantly. More importantly he has helped lead teams to the playoffs before as the main guy or as duo with a great point guard before. So why not Morey pursue Boozer? maybe it makes Bosh consider the 6 year SNT deal to Houston much quicker if we start to pursue Boozer? What say you Rocket fans?
