I guess I should have been more specific, but your assumption is correct. I was looking for actors who aren't marquee names. Turturro is one of my favorite as well.
samantha morton. saw her in one movie which title i cant remember. after that she had a role in tom cruise's minority report. her latest movie is the messenger. i really like her character in that one. saw her again in 'in america' on tv this past weekend.
steve buscemi, benicio del toro, sean penn, adrien brody, johnny depp (minus pirates of the caribbean), emile hirsch, denzel, charlize theron, kevin spacey, jim carrey, woody allen, coen brothers films... too many to list. taylor momsen is the new and improved miley cyrus
Youre saying the quality of actor is dependent on being in an M.Night film? Then Joaquin Phoenix must be a really bad actor then, and Willis, and Sam Jackson..
Don cheads is my nukka...I suggest you watch Manic, The unites states of Leland, and Reign On Me. These 3 movies were smaller name movies, also exemplifying his sincerity in his acting.
Bobby Carradine: You would likely recall his work as Lewis Scolnick in Revenge of the Nerds. Prior to that, he played a mean spirited high school jock in 1977's The Pom Pom Girls. Cameron Mitchell: I challenge you to find a non-entertaining movie with Mitchell in a supporting role. Bill Adler: If you have watched any films from the Quentin Tarantino film festival, then you have likely seen his work. Adler's best work includes Switchblade Sisters, Blue Sunshine and Van Nuys Blvd.
