Take two. I'm bored and thought I'd post this poll as we may have a lag of misinformation, reports and tweets today. There are various forces at work that impact Bosh's decision. Which do you think will win out and where and how will he land? Consider the following, in any order you choose. - Bosh's desire for Max $$$ - Torono's desire for real SnT assets - Bosh's desire to play in a "cool" place, possibly with Wade or Lebron - Bosh's alleged desire to win - Bosh's demand to play PF, not C - Bosh's alleged desire to be a centerpiece. (Actually, you can basically toss this out the window. I think this has been proven to be bull****e)
The only thing I consider is this: With Morey, none of what is speculated/rumored ever comes to fruition. We can spend countless threads on who we think we're gonna get, but at the end of the day Morey is probably gonna pull something way out of left field. Honestly I don't expect us to make any major moves... I hope I'm wrong. However we're probably definitely not getting Bosh. I have no basis for this whatsoever, pure speculation.
- Bosh's desire for Max $$$ I'm not sure how true this is since it was Stephen A Smith reporting. I'm partially convinced he said something like that to cover for his false reporting of Bosh, James, and Wade ending up in Miami - Torono's desire for real SnT assets There's only so much leverage they have, I can't imagine our deal looking bad in Toronto's eyes, but with their recent agreement with Amir Johnson could mean they are prepared to let Bosh walk - Bosh's desire to play in a "cool" place, possibly with Wade or Lebron Not sure what this really means... - Bosh's alleged desire to win I don't remember any speculation about Bosh's competitive spirit. I'm sure he really wants to win or else he wouldn't be tied with James or Wade. Also you don't really see him considering other teams like Sacramento or LA Clippers who also have cap space - Bosh's demand to play PF, not C I think this is important to him because he knows he's not a center. I'm not sure how much it weighs - Bosh's alleged desire to be a centerpiece. (Actually, you can basically toss this out the window. I think this has been proven to be bull****e) I don't necessarily think this is a bad statement. Maybe in his subconscious he doesn't want to only win because he had help from James or Wade As for how things will shake up? Not a damn clue
If the rockets had to give Scola, Hill, Ariza and the NY 2012 pick, I would just laugh at Colangelo and move on. No way in hell is Chris Bosh worth giving up all of that.
can someone put up a sticky that says "SCOLA IS A FREE AGENT.....HE WOULD HAVE TO AGREE TO PLAY FOR TORONTO IN ORDER TO BE INCLUDED IN ANY DEAL" SHEESH
Ok Stephen A Smith. No need to scream in the intraweb so early in the morning. This is a poll based on assumptions and wild ass speculation. For the record, I think Scola would be agreeable to play for Tornoto if he gets a nice fat contract. Sheeeesh.
Scola would probably get a better deal from Toronto in a sign and trade from what would probably be his last NBA contract. Im sure he would rather stay in Houston, but if the cash is right and he's assured more clock time on the court in Toronto, then I couldn't see how he would turn down a S&T.
As talent as Bosh Might be, he never proved himself as a winner. To draw a comparison, KG has led his team to conference final, almost all by himself. That's a definition of a super star. Did Bosh even got out of first round in the East? I may be a bit bias, but I felt Scola has more intangible than Bosh.
Personally, I would give up Scola, Jeffries and one of the 1st round picks or possibly two at the most. Adding anymore than that would seem pointless in chasing a championship this upcoming season. If the rockets could add a quality backup center and maybe grab a Ronny Brewer type threw free agency, I would go to war with that next season all day. Even if Bosh comes to Houston, everything will still hinge on Yao's health in the end.
