What is a nice place to buy a cheap suit? Can't afford a 2g suit, but would like something better then 200 dollar suit.
Brooks Brothers is having their semi-annual sale until tuesday, you can pick something up for around $700 If that's too expensive you can try JoS. A. Bank (though I've found that their suits tend to look better on heavier guys, don't know your body type)
Taho Formal Wear inside Willowbrook Mall. It's located where the old Hallmark store used to be, across from Forever 21. You can buy suits there between $150-200. Excellent service and a variety of choices to choose from. I bought an entire tux there for only $170, and loved it.
+1 for zara, if you are still in your 20s its your best bet for looking nice without being too expensive.
There's a place on Westheimer near Wilcrest that sells suits for cheap. It's an outlet type of store that sells name brands. I never actually bought a suit there, but I heard they had good prices.
This. You can find nice CK and Hugo Boss suits here. And this. They go for $300 with tax. Make sure you wear a skinny tie with Zara suits. I prefer a white shirt over any color these days..
You definitely get what you pay for with suits. If you go to a place like Suit Mart, you're more likely than not to end up looking like this guy:
Check out Syms. They have locations in Houston and DFW (and probably elsewhere). A poster recommended them to me a couple of years back. Great suits at a bargain price, and tailors on site to do alterations.
I highly recommend Hart Schaffner Marx suits. They are the "high end" suits at Dillards or Macy's, but for the price range they sit in, they are the best off the rack suit you can buy, IMHO. They often can be had on sale at various Macy's during different sales events. I believe all their suits are still Made in the USA and constructed like a more premium suit.
