    It was good indeed.

But if Ramires was in instead of him, I believe they would of won.

Poor marking and horrible defense by him and maybe Cesar led to the two goals. :(

i already knew ghana would be crap at pk, thats why i thought usa should have played a defensive game in extra time...oh well.

anyway, why did gyan went for power on his pk? there was no need for that. go for the finesse shot and if the keeper saved it, there might be a chance for a putback.

It was just a great heads up play by Suarez. Take the intentional foul to stop a sure goal. Ghana still had a free kick which goes in at least 80% of the time, but they blew it.

With Ghana out, does this mean no more vuvuslezuelaias? please?

I didn't get to watch the game, but 1-1 doesn't seem too convincing for Uruguay to beat the Dutch :(

Oh well, next up. Go Germany!

I think there'll still be South Africans at the matches, just a hunch!

Im happy that Netherlands won!!! Congrats to arno_ed and all the dutch fans.

I was rooting for Uruguay until Suarez did that.

It was not ethical, I didnt like it, more teams are going to do that.

A comparison would be if the NBA gives 2 FT instead of an automatic basket for the goaltending, then players would do it more, especially for players with bad % FT like Duncan, Shaq, Howard, especially if is the game-winning shot, they would prefer sending those guys to the line instead of giving the shot.

A lot of people thought Ghana wasting time (with substitutions and falling in the field) was poor sportsmanship, and this is was a great thing to do.

You say you do everything to win, then you flop and stay in the ground the most time you can.

If this was against your team you would be whining, and like I said I was rooting for Uruguay until that happens.

Uruguay vs Ghana was as wild a game as Brazil vs Holland.

Honestly, tell me what you think. Second pic is Sebastian Abreu who had the last PK for Uruguay.

So many dives for Argentina and an offsides called correctly for a change, Germany will win the World Cup.

Are the refs blind as bats?

Early on an Argentine slaps the ball with his hands to stop the German fast break. Right in front of the ref. Hand ball call but no card.

Muller bare;y touches it with his hands. Unintentional. ANd he gets a yellow card????

Because of that bonehead call by the ref he will miss the semis now if Germany makes it through.

Damn Germans! Like I said, I knew they would win this game, but I am really cheering for the Argentines here.

Hopefully The Dutch can take care of business if the Germans get through, which I am guessing will happen here shortly. Their defense is impenetrable.
