Varsity Blues. Though it's not really the football that makes it great. Remember The Titans is a feel good movie, if you're in to that. Rudy. Though I've never seen it. Friday Night Lights
This. The Waterboy is an awesome movie. I also remember liking Necessary Roughness & The Program when I was kid. Brian's Song is a movie I don't recall seeing that got great reviews.
The Longest Yard (original, not Sandler) North Dallas Forty Everybody's All American The Best of Times We Are Marshall Invincible Wildcats  Friday Night Lights Little Giants  Paper Lion
I've never been a big fan of sports movies in general because they all have the same plot for the most part but Remember the Titans has always been a favorite of mine.
Wait... now being the World Cup season I'm confused as to which football you're talking about. Football with the pads or Football with the dive?
Most sports movies are unwatchable. For football ones, the only movies I can stand are remember the titans, the waterboy, and little giants

Not too many sports movies brought tears to my eyes, but the second one was truly touching. One of the best of all times. Spoiler Spoiler
Since all the movies that I was going to say were already posted it, I would go with "The Blind Side", its a nice movie, I liked it.
