what's wrong with deng? i think he's a decent player and has a sick midrange game

pryzbilla on the other hand injured himself after injuring himself and bayless is still unproven

Lol Dang is decent but overpaid. Would not want him at his salary for 4 years.

Are the Bulls allowed to flip these two for a S&T? If so, this could really hurt the Rockets. Deng was the player Toronto didn't want.

I think they'll have to arrange it as a 3 way to avoid certain of the package restrictions. But yes, it can be done.

Will this free enough salary for Bulls to offer 2 Max outright?

Does this move help the bulls cap situation in any way?

IF TRUE it would be an interesting move, wheels are certainly spinning.

You just made something painfully obvious to me. Chi could send Deng to a team like dallas and get Erika's partially none guaranteed contract and then they would have all the cap space they needed.

The question would be what do you do with Caron Butler or Do you keep butler and start shopping Marion.

You obviously don't watch the Blazers very much.

    Dre
    Roy
    Deng
    Aldridge
    Camby/Oden

That's a damn good starting 5 right there.

this is the move the bulls promised wade/lebron...to free up money and at the same time bring in a solid big to help in the frontcourt....

if this goes through it pretty much means they got verbal commitment from wade/bron.

For portland its not a great move considering deng would interfere with Batum's progression..i think it helps them for the next two years, but by then batum may be a better SF for the price than Deng.

that should take miami out of contention for any of the big 3, new york as well since they dont need bosh with ama're....jersey is still a threat to houston though

yeah that is the only thing that would make sense. i guess this gives them another 1.6 mil under the cap too.

    rose/jerryd
    wade/jerryd
    lebron/james johnson
    taj
    noah/pryz

I absolutely agree with you. I think this deal could be to add depth at the center position and at the point while subtracting not only salary, but also a wing player. I think it could be Wade/Bosh. This makes Portland a better team with a healthy Oden, esp after some of the backup SG's they got in the draft. Whats still up in the air is Joe Johnson, who could still choose a NY offer and team up with Amare, which could hurt our draft picks from them in the future. Not a great thing for the Rockets if that scenerio falls into effect.

I'm still confident that Lebron will stay with Cleveland at the end though.

Interesting trade. It give them almost enough money for 2 max free agents.
Here's how it plays out cap wise.

    Bulls
    $11,355,850 Deng
    $11,355,850 Outgoing Total

    $7,405,300 Przybilla
    $2,292,600 Bayless
    $9,697,900 Incoming Total

    $9,697,900 - $11,355,850 = -$1,657,950 mil

There is a roster charge of $473,604 for each player below 12 player minimum. Since the Bulls are taking 2 players back and giving out only 1 player, they get an additional $473,604 in cap space back.

    -$1,657,950-$473,604= -$2,131,554

They are still about $1.4 mil short of offering 2 max contracts. It's an interesting move. I could only see this happening, if they had a verbal committment from somebody.

So does this mean Bosh turns into a Chicago-Houston battle?

Bayless is not a bad player to sent to Toronto in a S&T.

Don't forget they pay one less roster charge, since they get 2 players for 1.

That's an additional $474k, so they $2 mil under the cap.
