Elite teams have elite players. Those in the championship discussion have elite players, for the most part. There are a few exceptions to this rule over the history of the NBA. But more than any other sport, having the best player usually means being among the very best teams...if not being the best.

We don't have a player even remotely in that vicinity right now on our team. I'd give up whatever they asked, ultimately.

Nailed it. When was the last time a team won a championship w/out a top 5 player in the entire league? Nay, even a top 3 player?

In recent memory I can only think of the Pistons, but they had 5 all-star level guys at the time. Almost forgot about Boston, although the big 3 were all top 20 material.

Dont want him, its funny how quickly everyone forgot about his pathetic performance during playoffs, no one seemed to blame him for quiting on his team. Yea ok I know his mother slept with teammates but so he had all the rights to put his whole team and the franchise in such a stupid situation? guys like Jordan, Hakeem, Magic etc. would probably carry on playing like theres nothing to it and win the championship.

    No, I dont want Lebron.

    literally everything but Yao.

Lebron would not come to Houston without Yao period.

And Morey is the best equipped executive to build around Lebron and Yao for cheap in the entire league

I do not think it worthy to seek James regardless off the reality.

Anyone except Brooks, KMartin & Yao. Those 3 players would be great complements to LBJ.

Ariza, Battier, Patterson, Hill, Hayes, CBud, NY picks ... take any combo of 3.

CLE had the best record in the NBA 2 years in a row and never made it to the Finals. Not sure why anyone would vote 'anything CLE wants' knowing that.

Battier, Jeffries, Andersen, Hayes, Taylor and Johnson. We can also throw in the 2011 2nd round pick.

Personally? My baseball/basketball/football card collection from my childhood, my favorite Lazy-Boy, my car...pretty much anything he wanted. From the team? Jordan Hill, Trevor Ariza, New York's draft's, and maybe one of our PGs.

How many times were the rockets in the Finals during that time?

The point of a trade is to get better. Too many people have this fairy tale idea of us winning a championship from scratch.
