    supposedly it's a 4 year deal worth $16 mil.

I think the price is set for Lowry.

Blake is much better than Farmar. Even if Blake can't replace Fisher, he can split time with Fishe rat PG. The Lakers just got better.

Judging by that, I think Lowry will get a min. of 6 mil.

not a bad signing i guess that means they were serious about the deadline for mike miller

unless they make a trade at least it seems like LA is done for the summer outside of signing its on FAs and rookies

they may get a veteran at the minimum though. They have what like 1.5 million left of their MLE to spend?

RA couldn't find the rhythm since he had to guard Kobe and was worn out. Not the case for AB.

true, Lowry is better than Blake IMO but I don't think he'll get an offer over 4 mil. Just how RFA works.

If it's 4 years, $16M, then the starting salary will likely be around $3.55M. That should probably leave about $2M of the MLE for the Lakers to spend. Remember, they also have Early Bird rights on Shannon Brown and do not need to use the MLE to re-sign him.

RFA doesn't necessarily mean you get lower offers. It just means that you tend to get FEWER offers.

true but from what I keep hearing here in LA is they they fine with letting both brown and farmar go since they both want contracts with a starting salary of at least 4 per year.

This gives me even more of a reason to hate the Lakers. I can't stand Steve Blake, although this is a pretty good pickup for them if he will be their backup 1.

Fewer and the offers tend to be smaller than usual for role players.

There is no way the Lakers will be able to keep up with our point guards next season. We can easily run Lowry-Brooks lineup on them and tear them up.

Blake or Fisher can not handle Brooks.

We are looking more and more like the team that will be able to match up best with LA

Miller would've been a better addition, but this one ain't bad. Should allow Jackson to give Fisher some rest during the regular season.

I guess T-Mac's hopes of donning a Lakers uniform next season is still alive.
