This is the first domino to fall. I do believe Amare has just agreed with the Knicks for 5 year max to reunite with his old Coach D'Antoni.

Amare would complement Yao much better than Bosh would offensively

Bosh would complement Yao much better than Amare would defensively

If only we could combine the two players and get a super PF.

All that being said, I vote Scola.

someone forgot to give the memo to Bosh. Bosh tweets he is meeting with NY. Its now obvious that Bosh is "grasping for straws" and trying to get more leverage with either Miami or Toronto.

i Havent seen this posted yet,

Bosh wants to be the starter on the allstar team. That is guaranteed with Houston. Instead, lets say he goes to Miami, now with Amare in NY,all new yorkers will vote Amare as starter because its the biggest city in usa.

Bosh will lose out again. Im mad now,but come allstar break I will be happy seeing Bosh not get a starting gig. It would even be better if Yao is healthy and Starts on allstar team while bosh is a add on. That would be so fun to watch Boshs face.

Ok so with Amare gone and Bosh probably heading to Miami...do we go after Bron now?

with Warrick's signing, doesnt that pretty much take the suns out of sign and trade scenarios with amar'e? Why are we still discussing him?

I don't see why Toronto would do this. They should be able to flip Battier to a contender for "something" at the trade deadline. He is expiring too.

Anybody mention how this deal would be impossible - Scola as a sign-and-trade cannot be packaged with other players.

It is possible. It has been mentioned many times. Seperate deals can be made, if possible.

Amare hasn't signed anything yet.....he has 30mil reasons to wait and see what other teams (Houston) will do

Suns are signing Hakim Warrick. In order to do so they will need to renounce their rights on Amare. Free agents can't sign any deals until the 8th.

I think Budinger would do well as the SF. Remember that for the Rockets the shooting guard and the Small Forward are supposed to be interchangeable.

    Yao / Miller / Hayes
    Bosh / Patterson
    Budinger
    Martin / Taylor
    Brooks / Lowry

so that's correct , right? I've mentioned it and no one has caught it...the suns are done with amar'e, meaning there's zero shot at any sign and trade with them. And since we can't sign amare directly, then we're done with him.

Unless for some reason he wants to come here and the Suns want Battier, Ariza, and Brooks in the deal, then conceivably they could still do that.

But it looks more and more like he's NY bound.

    It is great!

No one should give an injury prone Amare $20M a year. It is just too much risk.
Really hope Knicks can sign him today and the value of our picks will be skyhigh.
