Come on now they have played like that the whole tournament, i doubt they are going to get better.

Holland is good but lets get real. Pure luck (that first goal) and a lot of diving is what beat Brazil. Brazil dominated the first half and most of the second even when a goal down, until they were reduced to 10 men.

Maybe if middle aged and also a woman.

Ghana has a small chance of leveling with Uruguay IMO. I just think they'd be wayyy too pressured playing for "all of Africa." That's just too much burden for a team to shoulder.

Maybe they'd find inspiration from Shakira's behind. Damn she's hot in that music video. Too bad I don't know what she's saying in that song, not that any guy cares.

It was intense for sure, but there were only 6 or 7 shots on target for both teams, none a challenge for either goalie (other than those that went in..23 shots in total, that is low for two teams known for their offense).

It was the defense that was quite strong for both teams, I don't like that kind of game, that's not the way Brazil usually plays. They played counter-attack football.... they slowed it down at the back and slowly increased their speed through midfield, that is Euro football, not Brazilian futball. However with the quality of attackers they had this time around I guess that was the wise way to play. I don't blame Dunga, other than keeping Pato out of the lineup... Ronaldinho might have also brought some composure to the squad in midfield. Watching Robinho scream at the refs all game long was ja joke, kinda how they played.....

I agree with you on Ghana, any one of the three teams can make the finals. Dejong will be out for the next game, which is a big loss for Holland, he really anchors their defense from the midfield.

It is going to be Argentina, Spain, or Germany that will win the world cup this year.

They do, but they just were un-Brazil like today in losing their composure like that. They came from down 0-2 against the US in the Confed Cup Final last year (please, no "but that's the USA and this is Netherlands" crap). This is Brazil and they're supposed to be better than what they showed in the 2nd half. They are going to get absolutely roasted at home.

If I'm not mistaken, I think 3 of the Dutch players will miss the next game due to yellow cards. Or maybe it was just 2 and 1 was a Brazilian. Either way, massive blow.

Out of the 3 teams, I'm picking Germany. Nobody is underrating them, but everyone seems to have settled with Argentina and Spain. Germany is a sleeper. I expect a really good outing from them.

I think they have Argentina beat in height. I hope they can convert on the crosses and corners. I would root for Argentina if it wasn't for their coach, Madonna.

Agreed - I don't think Felipe Melo is going to be suiting up for Holland like he did today. I mean he must have had money on the game or something.

Disagree. Brazil dominated the first half but Holland dominated the second, long before Melo's red card. And there wasn't that much diving - Brazil were just way too busy whining to play ball. The red card was actually very symbolic of the entire team..Robben was creating all sorts of problems on the right, earns himself a legit foul and Brazil's frustration finally boils over. And I'm surprised people still don't realize how dangerous Elia is coming off the bench. People keep underestimating Holland and they keep getting the job done.

Dejong is probably most important to them though, they don't have anyone to replace what he brings, the other guys can be replaced.

I love the way Germany plays, funny cause they are playing the way Brazil is supposed to. But being a young team I don't know if they will come through when it matters.

I havn't seen Argentina's defense tested so I don't know how far they will go, their game against Germany might be epic as both teams don't play much D.

Spain really needs Torres to find his form, when he's on, he makes Spain a different animal all together. I don't see anyone beating them if he finds his form. However, I'll probably place any bets after the Germany vs. Argentina game. Its hard to bet against an attacking line of Messi - Hugain - Tevez.....got to see how the team responds to playing against a quality German squad.

Holland plays the way Germany used to play. That's why they are one of my favorites.

I predict a Holland-Spain final, but I'll obviously be more than happy to see myself proven wrong and see a Germany-Holland final.

If Uraguay pummels Ghana, I think the semifinal could be pretty interesting. I'm just not sold yet on Uruguay being that good. The game this afternoon will be a good indicator.

On the other side, I have no idea who will win GER-ARG (Please be Germany!) and whoever wins will face Spain, who has not looked all that great. I know Spain can be very good but their history as the red sox of the world cup makes me think the winner of GER-ARG is going to the finals.

Good point, sir... I almost forgot. I doubt this, though, since Uruguay has been more well-organized and disciplined as an attacking force since the South Africa game... they've found their niche. I believe they will end Africa's dreams...

    Ghana vs. Uruguay: 3 - 1

Muntari, Gyan, and KPB scoring for Ghana, Suarez for Uruguay.

    GO GHANA!!!!!!
