I do remember him being high on the JVG radar...as well as another guy we could possibly nab in a trade....Thabo Sefolosha .

Barnes is a better player than Ariza. He does practically everything as good or better and he won't shoot you out of a game like Trevor often does.

Oh but remember D'Antoni does play BAD rookies only good ones

Seriously though, I am down with whatever Morey decides to offer because he always has a card up his sleeve so I'd imagine the more NY gets shutout of the FAgent class the more those picks increase in value.

Yeah, How many Rings does Barnes have? How did he do in the finals a year ago?

Ariza has done more in 5 years in the league than Barnes will ever do.

Ariza was playing bad BEFORE Kev-Mart. Why? Because he was put in a role he wasn't used to. People need to lay off Ariza. How did he play once the Rockets got Martin, a legit scoring option? He played great. With a healthy Yao back, he can go back to what he did in LA. Hit the 3 ball when the ball is passed around, and play defense.

    Stupid post is stupid !!!!

    Jack Haley has rings too.....

Ariza has done more in 5 years....ROLFMAO !!!!

He rode the coatails of maybe the greatest player ever and got himself a nice overpaid contract.

Learn it, love it, live it.

Whatever, you have been supping at the spigot of the Ariza soda fountain for over a year, and everyone knows you lack even general knowledge of the game of basketball.

You're kidding, right? Tell me you're kidding or drunk.

I guess Kenny Smith was a better PG than Steve Nash is, right?

I think people are passing judgement on Trevor Ariza the star of a injured team, not Trevor Ariza the role player he is. Yeah, he struggled early in the season when asked to take the burden of leading the team. He couldn't do it. I doubt Barnes would have been able to do it either. In the right system, asked to fill a role, and not shoot 15 shots a game...Ariza is one tier higher than Barnes. Simple as that. That's his value in the league. Love it or hate it...it's the truth. Not bashing Barnes, but thats just what I see his value at.

Are you always this stupid? Did you bother to read the rest of the thread?

The Farmar post was a joke about morons like you who think that riding the coatails for a ring makes them a valuable player.

Welcome to getting PWNED on the web.

    CHUMP !

    The Jet- 2

    Nash - 0

KevMart-Ariza showed promise. Esp with that season ending trip dub. Worry about defense between Brooks & KevMart. In a way their roles double up, like Artest and T-Mac the season before. Time to cash in on Brooks trade value off the back of his MIP award.

People who say Ariza is overpaid is stupid.

People harp In Morey We Trust, Morey is God, but they bash Ariza.

    Ariza got the MLE people.

MLE signees aren't expected to be franchise players. Go to guys. Gortat is overpaid, considering he doesn't even play.

Lol at DD getting owned by the Farmar comment

All your posts are jokes bro.

you flip flop and edit posts like there's no tomorrow. I wouldn't be surprised if you try to edit or delete that post too.

Fact is Ariza was a clutch contribute on a championship team. What has Barnes EVER done other than beat the Mavs?

    Nahhhhh

Trevor is better than Matt Barnes particularly defensively. Hell, He's 6 years younger and with last year's dismal shooting display from Trevor their career % from the field and 3 is still roughly the same.

Battier's a couple years past prime, pretty much just an expiring at this point. Scola will be replaced in the trade.

Losing Ariza hurts a bit, I liked him against Kobe better than Battier last year, or Artest the previous year. I still think he's easier to replace than Brooks would be, so I'd rather see him included.

I was on board with the Ariza > Barnes argument, but you just lost me there.
