In their quest to land either of the top two free-agent power forwards – Chris Bosh or Amar’e Stoudemire – the Houston Rockets have been offering Trevor Ariza, Shane Battier and free agent Luis Scola in potential sign-and-trade packages, league sources said.

Scola obviously would have to agree to a sign-and-trade because he’s a free agent. If the Rockets can’t get either Bosh or Stoudemire, they will push forward in negotiations to re-sign Scola.

That leaves us with no wing defender. Good lord we need to keep at least one of Ariza or Battier.

Kevin Martin and Budinger are going to get lit up on a nightly basis

Maybe it is an either or scenario......with Trevor and Shane.

Why can't the Chronicle ever break these stories.

It does confirm my beliefs in what they think of Brooks, Hill and CBud though.

    ;)

As much as I like the guy, and think he will be the starter at some point, I think they would be keeping one of Shane and Trevor....

I really thought Ariza should be given a chance to play with Yao...

That is 20+ Million in Salary. That's got to be an eiher or deal along with Scola. But I don't believe it. Sounds like conjecture and speculation to me or maybe just straight up BS.

I think they mean that Battier and Ariza are being offered in a different trade scenarios. Battier in one trade package and Ariza in another. Which I'm ok with. I just want to keep Brooks and Yao

what does that accomplish? Rip is a SG and even if he was a SF that would leave us without a starting SG.
