goodmanonfox Source told FOXSports.com that Mike Miller has already met with the Lakers, Knicks and Heat out in L.A. Lakers offered 5 years, $30 million.

Um...the MLE guys? You know, the exception we used to sign Trevor Ariza last year when we, too, were over the cap? It's like once the FA season starts, people stop rationalizing....

    T-mac faints.

On a more serious note this is bad news for Laker haters. The last thing they need is a good 3 point shooter that can bring other aspects to the game. **** !

He's the perfect third wing to relieve Kobe and Artest.

I have to hand it to Jerry Buss for his willingness to put forth a great product for the fans. The Lakers currently sit at 82 million with only 7 players committed. Adding Miller would bring that to 88, even if they fill the rest of the rosters with min. contract guys that's still a ton of luxury tax.

Many owners would not make this kind of move, why add a guy when the previous group has proven to be champions. Jerry Buss just wants to win and doesn't care about the bottom line. Of course his bottom line is helped by the fact that he can charge high ticket prices, but who would blame him if he sat on that cash and didn't add to the team.

For real. They could sign Brown prob. 2 mill cheaper. And is this the same Mike Miller that has been slumping for 2 straight years?

No. He is perfect to play with Kobe. Odom is Mr. unreliable. Miller will spread the floor for Kobe and Gasol to operate.

Mike Miller has to be one of the most overrated players in the league.

Have you seen Miller's stats lately? Talk about unreliable...

Plus you act like Mike Miller plays power forward. He's a shooting guard. So they plan on paying Kobe's backup 6 million dollars a year?! That's insanity.

This is a probably a good smart move to later trade Artest, who did not fit to well with the lakers. As for McGrady going to L.A., this might be a way to convince him to come for a cheap one year deal to L.A. to win a championship and also play with his buddy Mike Miller.

Mike Miller was about the only player playing good/hard anytime I watched the Wizards last season.
