    The adjective latino comes from the latin culture in Rome, named this way for the language they used to speak: latin.

    Some folks in New Mexico get upset if you refer to them as Hispanics. They are Spanish as they are direct descendants of the Conquistadors.

    actually "latino" means anyone from Latin descent. that includes Spain, Mexico, Cuba, Puerto Rico, etc. even Italy.

    Had to step away to the real world for the day so just now catching up some with this thread.. I'm only up to about page 71 now (seriously it's like not being able to put down a good book)

    Where I'm at in the book.. apparently our protagonist, SCK, has gotten killed, so I figured it was coming to a close, but it just won't end!!


    ...and I'm quoting this bc I think its a classic that went a bit unnoticed.
