Morey is almost convincing me but I wish I could say yes. I think Yao's injury history is the dealbreaker. If he had shown himself to be healthy the last year, then all bets would be off. But I can't imagine Bosh turning down the chance to team up with Lebron or Wade in order to roll the dice with Yao.

But not all is lost. There's still Amare or the Knicks picks. And who knows, maybe Morey can pull some magic out of his butt. I wouldn't put it past him.

I love the fact that Yao sent CB a twitter message an hour before free agency period began saying, ""Hey Chris, hopefully you'll play with us next season. I'll be healthy and I'd really look forward to playing together."

A message from a global superstar an hour before a spine shivering face to face meeting with the superpower that is Daryl Morey... ;)

    Done Deal!!

BTW, i know its been posted before, but here's the ESPN article about the meeting, DM, and Yao's message: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=5345081

Bosh will come to Houston once a year and then maybe for 4 games in the finals.

Considering he seems to be reasonably intelligent, I think that he will. If he really wants to be a centerpiece, Houston is a great place for him. Yao doesn't demand the spotlight, yet he still gives Bosh a 2nd superstar to play alongside. He will get the chinese market, which ought to be plenty for anyone focusing solely on the financial aspect. He would also get a great group of teammates...both in basketball skill, as well as stand-up guys. He'll be back in his home state too.

If he wants to be a celebrity and party, then Miami or New York will be his choice.

If he's been honest about what he really wants in a new team, the Rockets are the best fit for him.

In the end, I hope we won't stupidly trade the Knicks picks for garbage (like Al Jefferson). They are looking amazing everyday FA goes by!

I'm going to say the glass is more than half full for Houston's hope for Bosh. Who wouldn't want to play next to a man like this?

Yeah, well, WTF isn't passionate about winning in the offseason? The Heat haven't come close to winning since Stern decided to screw over Mark Cuban.

I think it really boils down to this - unless Bosh goes to a superteam where he, Wade, and LeBron play together, he's coming to Houston.

He can get PAID in Houston, he'll get more money through Chinese contracts, and he'll get even MORE money by living in a state with no state income tax. Plus he gets to be the guy who came into the city and brought a championship. Why not sign with the team with the best GM in basketball?

If he goes anywhere else without the other two, his chances of failure go up, his responsibility goes up, and his payday goes down.

Of course, all of the above only applies if LeBron doesn't come to Houston first.

A "yes" from 4 in 10? Mind-boggling. Too much Morey Kool-Aid being consummed in this summer.

Bosh won't take a HOU MLE and the Raptors would have to take players they don't want (Battier for one) to make the SnT salaries work. And Scola would be BYC if he would even give the OK for the trade.

If Bosh is truly smart about his situation and truly values International appeal, then he will choose the Rockets.

Nonetheless, since we have a less than 50/50 shot, I'd say, I must go with "No".

Guy's making millions of dollars...he can play for championships here and buy a home in Miami to party it up in the offseason.

Who you have in mind? LeBron, Wade? Carmelo? Good luck trying to get them to come here when we don't even have a big man!

I agree that we probably won't get Bosh but if we do, at least the raptors would end up with some talent with the SnT. If Bosh straight up signs with another team, the Raptors get nothing. Even if they do a SnT with Miami, they would end up with Beasley and Chalmers, who they also don't want. The good thing about a SnT with Houston is that they get some talent, picks and expiring contracts.

Although this did not end well, it was one of the greatest feelings ever to see Yao walk back out on to that court!!!
