Would it help/hurt the Rockets chances for Bosh if LeBron stays in Cleveland?

  1. Help - Bosh will have no choice but to join the Rockets because there won't be a better team

  2. Hurt - It gives Bosh a max contract in Miami

  3. No Effect - LeBron resigning in Cleveland will mean nothing to Bosh

I'm thinking it would help, unless Wade convinces Bosh to go to Miami. I can't see the Heat doing very well if all they can get is Bosh/Wade so I think he would join another team if that was the case. I'm starting to hope for LeBron to stay in Cleveland because of this. As it has been said many times, LeBron is the domino that will start the signings and decide where other big FA's go.

If LeBron stayed in Cleveland would it help, hurt, or have no effect on Bosh joining the Rockets?

I think it COULD hurt. Now, if Bryan Colangelo says "no S&T to any eastern teams" like I heard somewhere, then no, it won't hurt.

Come on cb4, F wade and lebron. Rockets will win a title or 3 with you.

CB4 is so stupid. Why would call him that? Why would you choose to type that?

It helps no question. Right now we want to diminish any chance of Bosh going to Chicago or Miami. If Lebron goes to Cleveland that means he's not going to Chicago, and Cleveland as an option for a SnT has a lot fewer assets than we do to try to acquire Bosh himself.

Plus Cleveland as a city and destination (which I have a feeling is playing a lot larger role than Rockets fans will admit) is far below Houston as an option. Chicago and Miami are much more imposing as high profile cities with more media coverage and glitzier night lives. I don't fear Cleveland like I fear Chicago and Miami.

I'm calm, I just don't understand why the fascination with these stupid "initialnumber" nicknames.

Colangelo never said that. Cleveland said that. It is a bluff IMO but Clev said it not Toronto.

As for the OP's question, I think it helps for Lebron to stay put on so many levels (No Super Trio in Miami, no Lebron in New York, less enticement for Bosh to want CHicago etc)

The choices in this poll aren't great.

Take it as you will, but Peter Vescey is claiming that Bosh has already decided he doesn't want to come to Texas.

I personally don't think there's much of a chance at all that Bosh comes over, nothing out of his camp or DM's indicates that interest is mutual.

If LeBron passes on Miami (I think he will), the Heat could still look to have a Amare-Bosh-Wade trio, which would be pretty tough to defend. Both bigs can spread the court and open lanes for Wade, and Amare is deadly when he can play center and opposing 5s are forced to come out and guard him.

Although Lebron staying would change a lot of things, i don't think it would hurt us at all. Seeing as we don't really need him and all.

It could possibly help in that it would eliminate a possible destination for Bosh (Chicago with LeBron)...

Miami would most likely still be ahead of the Rockets though...

Not the question, but I don't see Joe Johnson staying in Atlanta as a good sign. I was kinda hoping he'd stay everyone's backup plan for awhile longer, so they wouldn't be gunning as hard for Bosh.

I think the Rockets have a real shot ... especially if LeBron stays in Cleveland.
