what the hell? 5 & 32 mm for drew gooden? Was this so they could be a player in the 2015 free agent class?
8 down, 21 to go. He needs to get busy. But Gooden basically gets the same deal as Trevor? How the heck did he get something that nice?
That is true. It is slightly worrying, as if effing Drew Gooden can get that much, how much is Scola going to get?
Are my years crossed or did Skiles have Gooden in Chicago for a short time? Maybe he's fond of what Gooden brings to a team. It's also the East. Sometime a team realizes it can't win a title but it still needs to compete to generate fan interest which equals revenue. Perhaps the Bucks realize they need to improve their roster to compete in the East, even if it doesn't get them closer to the big one.
It's always a smart idea to give a focus-less, disinterested, party-scene-distracted, underachiever a long term guaranteed contract. Good luck with that, Milwaukee. But hey, at least you didn't break the bank like Detroit did with Charlie V. Re: Scola - I think he's in line for about $7-$8M a year starting. I'd probably offer him 3 yr/$27M. Evan
the bucks are forming a GREAT team... man this team is gonna be lighting up the eastern confrence. i think so far the bucks are making the best moves. PGJennings SGSalmons SFMaggete PFGooden (not sure if he will come of the bench or start) CBogut add there becnch and thats a contender.
Someone needs to keep the bench warm for Larry Sanders. Eight teams in eight years, probably means an attitude problem a la Jim Jackson.
I've heard Scola had gotten an offer of 8m per, can't leak the source so take it for what it's worth. One thing I'm sure is that Scola is going to get paid big time.
I don't think so. I think he's just good enough to contribute positively to your team, but not good enough that you don't try to upgrade when you can. He's also generally been paid at a level that makes him a nice part of a trade. Positive contributor at a mid level salary helps fill the gaps in trades for better players. He's also managed to find himself on teams that were very active in deal making.
Eh...6 mil...not too bad...they paid Gadzuric that much. Remember who the coach, you guys. Skilles will make that dude play D.
sounds a terrrrible team to me, no D, all ego. no ball sharing. nowhere to go in playoff. scott skiles must scratch his head hard now.
