I still think Yao goes out in July or August and plays in China and hurts himself. That can be the only explanation as to why the Rockets wont extend him and why Yao wont go elsewhere(as of now) The good thing about Bosh telling the world soon tonight at midnight in a tweet that he is going to Miami is that I wont have to see his name literally in every post. If you want to know now instead of live in suspense all day, Bosh just tweeted 1 hour ago that this process is over in hours. He has his mind made up. Miami. Moreys spiral notebook of stats will be saved for 3 years from now when Bosh gets a player option.
I'll believe it when I see it....on the court. Please don't make us suffer through another annual Yao injury.
After the previous surgery, Dr. Clanton proclaimed Yao would never have problem with that foot again. Then what happened? It broke at the same place again.
Remember what Tracy said? Now I'm not saying Yao and Tracy are the same type of people. But I feel Tracy doesn't BS a lot of things. He felt 100% and ended up only being like 70%. Yao could very well be feeling 100% on the practice courts... but there is a huge difference once he actually gets in the NBA reg. season schedule.
A player says he will be 100% for training camp in a contract year. Now where have we heard that before? All we need now is his trainer to claim he will return to elite status. Hopefully he will be able to recover like big Z and be injury free for a couple of years. It's such a damn shame that with as much hard work and heart he put in, his body always betray him.
But another good thing is its still 3 months until the regular season starts back so he still has time to get there even if he isn't 100% right now.
so we won't hire him as a fortune teller. predicting the future and assessing a medical situation are two different fields of work. to do the latter, i would still want a doctor instead of a basketball player.
I dont think it was exactly at the same point that the latest fracture occured. If I remember correctly, they inserted screws in the first point of fracture to help the bone heal.
Does he even remember what 100% feels like? Just sayin.. Good news nevertheless. If I were one of the FAs I would still be a little skeptical.
