Anybody going to the show tonight?? I'm waiting on last minute tickets from my brother in law..hoping he comes through for me!!!!
I was going to go Sunday night in Waco, but $30 tickets were just a little too expensive. I love that cd though.
Bah, who cares about John Mayer. It's also a GUSTER Concert!!!! I've been looking forward to this concert all year since it's been announced, and now I can't go!!! Instead I have to be here for a "meet the teacher" night for the one freaking class I teach!!! GRRR!!!! I'm spending the day listening to Guster CDs to appease or fuel (depending on how you look at it) my disappointment.
oh...you crazy guys, you!! i know you love me!!! my brother in law said, "make sure you get there early enough to see Guster...you'll really like them." i thought of you, vengeance... tell me about Guster again..
Guster RULES!!! If I were going, I was gonna go for Guster and then leave 'cause I can't stand John Mayer. Guster is a really cool band of three guys who met at Tufts university, became great friends, and started a band called "Gus". They later had to change the name to "Guster" after someone else inked a deal as "Gus". The band is comprised of 2 guitars and a set of congos and cymbals for percussion. They all do some vocals. Guster is just awesome. Like no other band out there. Just go check them out, and I guarantee you'll love them. You'll come back like "Why the heck was John Mayer the last one on? Guster is due on at 7:30
I did like Guster, Vengeance..but not as much you obviously do! My wife really didn't care for them much...we both really liked the John Butler Trio, though that was the first act of the night. Mayer won big brownie points with me by playing King of Pain by the Police...and by dedicating a song to Brian Fellows...he said he first performed this song on a show called Brian Fellows' Safari Planet...no one knew what he was talking about but my wife and I were clapping and laughing like crazy! Overall a good show..that's a great place to see a concert, for sure.
