Is there any hope to get Lewis on the Rockets without breaking up the key unit of Cat, Stevie, Ming & Griffin? Or is this wishful thinking.
Yes...wait,...no....wait...uh...maybe. I've heard he may sign for the exception, so we don't have to trade. One bad thing about that is that we may sign him long term, taking money away from the other players. Is is wishful thinking to think they would not want much money?
Welcome to the board tman.....please go thru the last couple pages of threads and there will be much info to answer your question.
I am new to these boards so I apologize if this has been discussed too much. But, for some reason, he completes the puzzle to me for the Rockets. The Sporting News wrote an article last week promoting Seattle not to sign him for various reasons. Why isn't Seattle doing everything to sign him? Are they worried he is too young to make that investment. He's only 21 which to me is good news. I don't see the risk. Is Seattle at the point where they want something for him before they lose him. OR are we not to that point yet?

The reason SEA doesn't sign him is because Lewis wants a LOT of money. Around the max, maybe. IMO, and I'm sure their opinion too, he is not worth that much money. I'm ok with signing him for a year, but I don't want him to affect EG, YM, and BN's contracts. Or Mobley, either. JMO.
