So we all know that DM the GM is going on a PR blitzkrieg that will put his Gortat campaign to shame, all to convince Bosh to come here. Supposing Bosh REALLY doesn't want to play in Texas, or supose Wade or LBJ convinced him to go to them instead, would you be disappointed? And do you think we need him to win it all?
He would certainly help, but I for one wouldn't be devastated. I really like our young core, and I would be really sorry to see someone go. I am so emotional.
We aren't contenders without him, but there are other good players out there we can get to become contenders. This is the most talented FA class EVER, and many teams are seeking cap relief in these tough economic times.
Not disappointed, but concerned. I'd be concerned that Les will panic and order Morey to find a name, any name, to pair with Yao. With the new CBA right around the corner, there's only three players I'd offer the max to, and none of those players are any general manager's first choice. .
I wish Bosh would sign right away with his team of choice so we can all move on and strengthen our current team. I love our current players. After our experience with TMac, I hope we don't go that route again trusting one or two superstars alone to win championships for us. It has to be a balanced team effort.
After all the media spec and the creation of the website and everything else... it would be pretty sad if we didn't get Bosh or another elite FA this offseason. I still think we can contend without them though.
only 9 votes for yes? come on people! there is no way in hell that we are contenders with this team!our team was better in 2009 and we werent contenders we just made noise in the playoffs. and after all clutch has done and the big presintation for bosh that is about to happen and he still doesnt sign with houston, wouldnt you be sad? i for one, would.
Am I the only one who basically thinks both of the above? The Rockets can be contenders without him, assuming Yao's healthy again. But they're obviously MUCH BETTER with him, minus a few young players that goes to Toronto in a trade. Personally, my level of disappointment would be higher than not getting a top pick in this year's draft, but not as disappointing as the 1st round exits to Utah and Dallas.
Remember the Pistons! We don't need these famous players. We need players who work hard, are unselfish, and work well together. We also need good coaching. The problem with having a superstar player on a team is he could become controlling and **** up the chemistry of the team. The team suddenly revolves around him instead of him working into the team.
I have a feeling that it's all going to be very worth it if we get him but I hate what I put myself through with this team all year, every year for a decade running. These guys just want to jerk around to see who can get the most attention. Bosh already has his mind made up, and I doubt that his thoughts lean toward him coming to Houston. I'd love it if we got him to be honest, but I'm tired of these divas.
u cant let ur emotions get in the way of makin sound business decisions.. just ask Texans owner Bob McNair who held on too long to David Carr becuz of his affection for him.. Id trade anyone on our roster for Bosh in a heartbeat altho Id be disappointed if we cant acquire but the sky wont be falling
If Yao is health with last year team, we are contender, + bosh and - some our young player will not make significant difference. If Yao is not health, + bosh will not make us content, He did not do too much in Canada. I don't think he does significant upgrade our team from 4. He can not and does not want to play 5.
