What in the world does height have to do with being a minor in the legal system?

 

I guessed some people doesn't understand that concept that some reach maturity much early then others? So no wonder how minors get away with murders when they pretty much know what they were doing.

She did the crime, and now she'll do the time. I don't have a problem with that.

However, It seems the teacher was lacking emotional/intellectual maturity. Maybe we should be able to try some adults as juveniles.

I agree, but I've never heard of any of the teachers using that as a defense. A lot of these female teachers are in their early or mid twenties, but seem to have the maturity level of high school kids instead of adults. As has been said earlier, different people mature at different ages.

 

So . . if the teacher is SOMEONE YOU WOULD LIKE TO F*** then it is not really a crime
but
If it is someone you WOULD NOT WANT TO F*** [i.e. an ugly woman or a man]

As far as her getting 10 years it doesn't matter to me one way or another but I don't get the double standard in the two.

I mean she is attractive and most male high school students wouldn't complain if they had sex with her but the law is the law and she knew that before she did it.

The problem is she got arrested and got out and did the exact same thing. She didn't learn her lesson. She probably was never going to learn her lesson unless she had to do some serious time in jail. Sad that she has to do 10 years in jail and who is to say if she even learned her lesson still.

 

IMO, if it's not rape, regardless of gender, shouldn't be 10 years. I'm talking 14-17 range too. Nothing lower than that. There's a huge double standard though.

Why is everyone pretending there isn't a difference between boys and girls. Girls at that age aren't looking for sex. The are looking for a relationship and sex is just a part of it. Boys at that age are looking for sex and the relationship is just part of it.
