How long of a season is the China Basketball League? Assuming Ming is ready to play, can he hold up for 82 games plus playoffs? It ususally takes players a while to adjust to the longer schedule especially for big men. How many average minutes can he handle per game. I would like to see him play 25-30min/game

starts from Nov to next year Apr.
Regular season is about 22-26 and plus 10-15 offseason matches.
Yao Ming regular plays 40 min in CBA almost every match.

38 minutes per game in that style of game will translate to 24 NBA minutes.

I am really getting concerned with Ming's long-term stamina in the first year. I know there is a "wall" for college-level rookies in NBA. This stamina issue will affect the team and, as much as it hurts me to say it, we will be relying on Cato in this regard this season. Is Cato up for the task? Will Ming hit "the wall" earlier than normal?

He might hit the wall earlier than some rookies because he has been playing non-stop for China, but I think he can still be effective for around 20-25 minutes a game over the length of the season.Cato will have to step up from the bench.
