He is a high-kwality athelete/free-agent. Those types of players don't sign in Houston. Or did we all forget this already?
Is this another case of a player being better in LA than elsewhere? Not much in Cleveland, not much in Charlotte, not much in Chicago. I guess you could say he "brokeout" in LA Spoiler 2006 1st round pick(26th overall) by Cleveland Cleveland: 06-07: 23 Games 3.2 PPG Cleveland: 07-08: 15 Games 7.0 PPG Chicago: 07-08: 6 Games 1.5 PPG Charlotte: 08-09: 30 Games 4.8 PPG Los Angeles: 08-09: 18 Games 3.2 PPG Los Angeles: 09-10: 82 Games 8.1 PPG Career Average: 15 min/game 6.1 PPG 1 AST 1 STL 2 REBs Meh, better off keeping your money and sticking with Taylor.
You think 5.8 million dollars is good for a guy who would be behind Brooks and Lowry as a PG, and I would not want to put him behind Chase at SG because Chase can easily become a better player then Shannon brown given development time. Besides, what has Brown even done to be remotely at the level of Trevor? He has flashy dunks, but any Lakers fan can tell you his shot selection is beyond awful and his defense is iffy. No way I want the kid.
On what planet is Chase not already a better player than Shannon Brown? Lakers would swap them straight up all day every day.
Was trying to be fair for argument. I do believe that Chase as of now is better. However, even if he isn't, he will be, provided he gets time to develop, so therefore having Brown is stupid.
All these bench players appear to play well for Lakers but once they're out of the team and in a different place...they suck. Remember one of the guy we have ...what's his name?? I forgot! He was a deadly shooter under Lakers but look at him now?? He's garbage. I think it's Phil's drill and discipline that make the consistent shooters under Lakers.
He tries to emulate Kobe when he plays, and is just not good enough. He is like Von Wafer, a decent off the bench player in a certain role. Not worth the money he will be asking. DD
