The NBA has so many rules, they need to keep this from happening. This is the equivalent of a monopoly in business but in basketball. Man, if Riley pulled this off he would cement his legacy as one of the biggest dealmakers in the NBA. I guess he doesn't look and dress like that character in the movies Gordon Gekko for nothing.
Completely Agreed... Lets say this is a done deal and Lebron and Bosh sign straight up (without sign and trade), you have a potential starting 5 of: Mario Chalmers Dwayne Wade Lebron James Michael Beasley Chris Bosh That's a pretty damn good lineup...but, they have NO BENCH. In this case, they would probably just sign Shaq to a vet minimum and anyone else they can get on the cheap... Who knows...maybe they'll give TMAC a shot...
Where is Stephen A getting his info from? Is he working closely with Tim Grover? Does he expect a return to Elite status?
If it was a line up of Bosh Wade James Along with a horrible bench VS Kobe Gasol Bynum Artest Fisher Along with decent bench I'll take my chance at Lakers And thats if the heat made it through the Eastern Con.
Anyone who has ever taken Freshman Economics has heard of the law of diminishing returns..... The whole will be less efficient that the sum of their parts. Meaning, with three of them there they will be incapable of the same level of production each of them enjoyed as "the man" on their respective teams.
Ego clash waiting to happen. In Boston, it worked because all 3 players were good in their own way (Garnett = inside, Allen = outside, Pierce = wing), but James/Wade/Bosh all play they same style.
Just pairing them together in NO WAY guarantees them success. Chemistry is soooo important. I would like to see it, just so it could blow up in their face. DD
Heres something to think about. If the Heat signed these 3 guys and others, lost and didnt win a championship, what would they do then?
Sign more players with the MLE and add talent through the draft. You guys are just trying to downplay what would be the nail in the coffin for pretty much every other team in the NBA when it comes to title winning prospects.
True there are no guarantees but look at that Cleveland squad and how Lebron made them so much better just by himself and now you add Wade and Bosh. I don't see how they won't succeed with rookie contracts and vets that are near the end of their careers wanting to win a ring willing to play for the vets min.
u dont get it either.. hes facepalming becuz duh, the big 3 didnt play for the minimum, VETERANS came to play for the minimum to play with the big 3 and that guy along with u dont understand that.. went totally over ur heads...
