I heard a stat on the radio yesterday that might shed a little light on this. There have only been four players in NBA history that averaged at least 15pts 5reb and 5 asst over the first four years of their career. Oscar Robertson, Magic Johnson, Grant Hill, and Steve Francis. I'd say that is pretty good company and deserving of a large paycheck.
why don't you throw in the 3.7 turn overs per game? that'll let lil stevie stand on the TOP by himself......
I suggest lil stevie, a career 3.7 turn over guy...... go learn some "ball controlling abilities" from Jayson "white chocolate" Williams..... a career 3.0 turn over guy...
We should start a ban Mini thread. This guy is r****ded. By the way Mini, Isiah Thomas was 6' 1" and he lead his team to two championships. Break out you history books dumb a$$, and eat it.
Why are you guys arguing with this tard? He is a idiot with an bias opinion! He only sees life through Red Ming colored glasses. Lock the thread and lets move on.
and isaih thomas wasn't the ONLY main guy .... he was just part of the "bad boys".. there were what? dennis rodman 6'7, bill lambeer 6'11, uhhhhh... kevin machale 6'10... but let's assume that we give ALL the credits to isiah.. still.. over the last 25 years.. 23 teams that won the championship were LED by "franchise player" no SHORTER than 6'3...... that's what??? 92% trend.... so it's not a wise investment on a short 6'3 boy => tho he's more like 6'1 or 6'2 to me....
12, 13, 15, 20...what is the difference...oh I see, you are the majical stat creator and arbitrarily choose 12 titles because that proves your point.... in fact, you ran some statistical analysis that shows 12 years is the majical number to prove that 6'3" guards do not win championships..... oh majical great stat boy...we bow done to you....
mini-greatwall is a dumba$$ troll so it's pointless to even argue with him. whatever steve does he's going to put a negative spin on so the best thing is to just ignore him.
i don't see why this topic should be locked.. and I dun see anyone should be sooooooo narrow-minded to shut down a topic that has nothing but STATS and logical explanations to show why lil stevie not worth the $$$ he's getting... it's NOT like i made up all those STATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it's NOT like i BS about his 3.7 turn over/ game.. or 43% FG or the past 12 years.. no franchise player shorter or equal 6'3 led his team to a championships..
short guards like iverson, kidd, marbury, stevie, stockton, allen, they will NEVER win a championships by themselves.... these dwarfs will NEVER be able to beat the "TREES" from the west such as duncan, oneal, webber, rasheed, nowitski, and the likes.... these short guards are only at their best when they play the "supporting - cast role" #1 mistake ball clubs make is ... they try to make these supporting casts into their main go-to guy.. that's where the trouble all begins....
I've seen this thread title several times and managed not to click on it. Seemed like a waste of time. When it got to two pages, I figured there might be something worth reading. Nope. Just a bunch of suckers who got sucked in, once again, by a silly little bozo. Do us all a favor and follow Clutch's sage advice: DON'T FEED THE TROLLS.
well i dont think francis is overpaid. He is the Rox's team leader... All team leader get max pay....
Mini_Greatwall is obviously one of these fU&King cottage cheese queefs that thinks now that Ming is here we don't need anyone else on the team to be able to play in order to win. We have the best point guard in the western conference and this idiot thinks he is overrated and overpaid. There isn't a single team in the league that would not pay Steve the Max to be their guard. Even New Jersey would trade Kidd for Steve because he is so much younger than Kidd. Maybe you want to pay the Minimum to some of those Awesome Chinese guards to come in and take over. Or do like Gram suggested and go get that guy down at the playground. How old are you dude? And do you know who Buck Johnson was?
