http://blogs.chron.com/sciguy/archives/2010/06/an_update_on_that_vigorous_tropical_wave.html Got to love the comments... Especially this. Thanks for the heads up Eric. I will start making reservations in Dallas for my entire family and all of my friends. We'll leave Houston tomorrow. Please post when it is safe to return.
I seen this name on a few other Houston-ish message boards, and I thought he got around or something. I googed it up.
Updated future forecast for those "wish casters". Some predict a hurricane, some a tropical storm, but it's bad bad news to have a Caribbean storm form this early. The waters are sizzling hot, some at record temps.
Crazy! So Pacific is already on D letter, Tropical Storm Darby...it's not even July! Geez!! Two invests have models all over place...93 and 95. 95's models are so weird and looks like zig zag.
uh oh.... we have a tropical depression... http://icons-sf.wunderground.com/data/images/at201001_5day.gif
That track scares me, but it is still early, Hopefully it will not get as close as the forecast it showing.
I wouldn't pay much attention to that track this early. The models are all over the place as you can see. They do hint at steering currents being weak and this thing slowing down once it hits the central gulf. We could have a strengthening system in the gulf to the SW of all that oil. I wonder how much of a push of oil the northern gulf coast would get from that. Not good.
Let the fear mongering begin! And it's despicable the way the media uses Hurricanes to drive up ratings or blog hits. Are you listening Hype-Guy? .
