If you could trade for one of these guys, which would you pick? I know NOLA has stated they have no intention of trading him, but that's what they're supposed to say. Paul has already stated he'd be open to a trade, but he prefers to stay in NOLA and win. Paul would most certainly cost us Brooks, Budinger, fillers and picks. Then there's Bosh, who seems to have many teams interested in him to pair with another superstar. Whether he will just sign outright with a team, or configure a sign and trade remains to be seen. He would cost us Hill, Battier or Ariza, Jeffries and high draft picks.
I would most certainty take Bosh for the reasons you stated yourself. Trading for Paul would cost us quite a bit, while we already have replacements for Hill, Battier, and Jeffries. Not to mention, we would lose a lot more in brooks, than what we would lose in trading for Bosh.
If you mean Paul...he is a POINT GUARD! HE sets up his teammates in NOLA, and him being hurt is what made them miss the playoffs.
Umm... I'll take the one without the constant injury issues. And the one I don't need to take on albatross contracts to obtain.
They would consider Okafor a bad contract. While that is true, he could also be a good backup center for us.
Bosh fills a bigger need. Our PG position is already solid. With that said, if any of the two wanted to come to Houston I don't think we could pass up the opportunity.
The assets you would have to give up to get Bosh would be far less than what you would have to give up to get Paul. Cheaper asset wise, not money wise.
Bosh fills a bigger need? We already 3 pfs. 3 pfs with questionable defensive skills. What does bosh add to that group? We only have 2 pgs, brooks pure offensive, lowry a better defender and a better dish man, but Chris Paul is far and away a better player than brooks or lowry. Cant say the same about Bosh being far and away better than scola or better defensively than hill. Chris Paul led his team to the second best record in the west a few years back is a bonafide superstar. Chris Bosh ehhh not so much.
