I have seen them both play alot and I personally think Hills post game does not take a backseat to Pattersons at all. Jury still out for me. I don't have that kind of ability to forecast which player is better at this early stage in their career. Hill impressed me last season.

If Pat Pat can help bring us a championship, I'll eat a bowl of his boogers.

That would be very dissapointing if his comparisons are Haslem and Lynch. I would hope his comparisons are more like David West who can stretch the defense out to the perimeter and has similar size and shooting ability. I would be very down on him if they picked him to be the next Haslem or Jeffries. I hope they thought he compaired more to West, Brandon Bass, Landry, Zach Randolph types. Thats more along the lines I think they see him.

This has all of the earmarks of the draft when we got Brooks. Remember we had two PGs and Luther Head logging in some minutes at PG at times. Then we drafted Aaron Brooks and people freaked out that we drafted a guy where he already had two players in the rotation.

It's very possible we end up using him in a trade later down the line, or maybe we trade the guys in front of him (which is what we ended up doing in the case of Brooks... trading both James and Alston).

In our situation. Gotta go for BPA. We can always trade to fill in players that fit needs. If we draft need and the guy busts... we won't have a player to fit our need either way.

Happy for my teammates. We made history for Kentucky. I am a Houston Rocket. Truly blessed.

Agreed I think when there are bigger or taller guys available we had a need to take that person. Picking a 6'9 PF is nice but when you already have 2 guys in the same position at the same size it doesn't do alot for your team imo. Patterson might be a good player in the future just think we should have taken someone else at that pick or even moved back.

I really hope he can play some SF... cause at least that way we meet a roster need by moving Budinger to the back-up SG position...

    Bench:
    Lowry
    Budinger
    Patterson
    Hill
    ?

Are you kidding me? What bigman would you have taken over Patterson? He was the best available, and if you say Whiteside then you deserve to get slapped.

Patterson is more than capable of banging with the big boys, a lot of people are never saw him play and are going to be suprised.
