If that's it, what a let down. We don't fill a backup center need.....another short PF who may see 3 minutes a game or to the d-league.

Bc Gasol and Bynum is 7 ft and odom is 6'11 and nobody is scared to go to the paint against 6'9 power forward

Pretty much my thought process as well. Not sure how to interpret this move or what it means, however it's an overall safe and solid pick. Those that like to piss and moan just for the sake of doing so will find little reason to do so with this selection.

Remember how we always wished we could combine Carl Landry and Chuck Hayes into a single player?

Maybe Morey pulled that off with this pick.

Was no one scared of the paint with a 6'10 Hakeem?

Good insurance in case we lose/trade Scola, but I REALLY wanted Cole Aldrich.....very dissapointed.

Love the pick. He'll be a better Landry.

Ummm, Odom is NOT 6'11" and no one fears Odom in that way. Also, Perkins is shorter than Gasol and did an ok job against him. I would not worry about Bynum too much, his knee is essentially an empty void now.....

Yeah, I really wanted Cole Aldrich...but what can you do. Take the best player available, and we can still make a few moves in free-agency.....hopefully.

At this point, would you package Patterson or Hill for Bosh?

replacement for Hill? He sounds like a pretty gifted player and has potential, but not a glaring need for us at the moment.

Pretty much...i dont see how you can be upset given what was left...i mean the guy actually dropped about 3 spots based on most mock drafts...and its not because he sucks, but because he doesnt have a lot of unfilled potential. However he's solid where he's at and can still improve some.

the only issue is that he doesnt have landry's face up game, but he'll be better defending and shot blocking (although not a great shot clocker in general).

And let's keep in mind he's actually taller than landry, for those complaining about him being undersized...

    Of course.

Remember, Morey said he would replace Landry in the draft.

He is Landry with a slightly better post game, and more range on his jumper. He is a better shot blocker than Landry. Landry is the better athlete obviously, but it's nice to have a four who can defend and hit the three.
