I think some of us on this board are getting a little carried away with this draft. I thought we all had leared to trust Rudy, but I guess not. I don't think we are done wheeling and dealing yet. I truly belive Croshere will be here before the end of the season. This year I do not think we will make the playoffs. I think we will win about 45-47 games. A starting lineup of Hakeem, Cato, Croshere, Shandon and Francis is still pretty bad ass. Backups Langhai, Kenny, Mobley, Pig and Moochie (Colliere will be gone in the Croshere deal). Next year we have four picks (accoding to some on this site). We trade away two or three of them to land in the top five. Pick up a really young big guy. Free agency - Webber is the ultimate prize. Unless Duncan signs only a one year deal. If no big free agents come here, we would have to change the draft strategy just a little bit. Now instead of a young hot shot, we would draft a mature 3-4 year college player with a post up game. This year we would make the playoffs but probably lose in the second round. Now comes 02-03. Rocket players = Francis, Shandon, Mobes, Croshere, Cato, the big free agent we picked up in 02, and our high draft choice. I think this is the year we all need to look forward too. Waiting three years is not that bad. I still trust in Rudy, and we will be champions soon. So lets just all calm down, and wait for us to be Orlando West next year. Nothing was going to happen this year anyways. Maybe some of us had gotten our hopes a little too up. The Rockets are trying to do all they can. Our focus this year should be to keep the Rockets in Houston. That I belive is much more important then winning a championship. This year we keep the Rockets here, next year we get some bad ass players, and the year after is when we start winning. Some of you have said that next year's draft is supposed to be really good. No I think you are just getting carried away with this topic. You dont know what is going to happen, anything can happen in the next 3 years. But on the Collier thing. Interesting thing is that the Pacers brought him into workouts 2 times and loved him alot. I would do a Collier for Croshere deal in a second. I admit I dont know whats going to happen in the next three years. But a guy can hope cant he? I dont know if we are going to land Webber or not. I dont know if we are going to get a high pick or not. But I do know we have a **** load of first rounders owed to us and a **** load of jack to spend next summer. So that is what I'm basing my optimism on. Like I stated, lets just worry about keeping the Rocks in Houston for right now.
