OKC have three first round draft picks.
If they are wanting to move up because of a specific draft prospect,

    #14 for #18 & #21?

At 14, we most likely will not get anyone who will make surefire impact on our roster, so we can move down a few spots and gamble on 2 upside-picks like Sanders and Williams.

Can't wait! Can't wait to see what DM has up his sleeve! I have a feeling we're not keeping this pick. Either we keep it and draft someone and trade him or we're trading picks. I just have a feeling knowing DM's we're not gonna go through this draft w/o a blockbusteresq trade or a steal or something amazing. I just cant wait lol!

I'm going to freaking laugh my ass off if we don't do anything this offseason and we just drop some players. That would be freakin hilarious because all the hype on this draft.

that has me wondering,if Morey is allowed to spend whatever he wants, maybe thats for a superstar, does Les spend tax for players like Scola and Lowry if Bosh doesnt come?

im curious why all the love for Elliot Williams, means either Brooks is being traded,or Lowry is leaving or Taylor is leaving

With the 14th pick in the 2010 NBA Draft, the Houston Rockets select James Anderson from Oklahoma State University. Productive college player, good size and length, can shoot and defend. Book it.

My guess is he is a 2 position player with hops, size and wingspan that can play D. If he gets his shot down he might be special. And the Rockets flew to LA just to watch him shoot. Afterwards EWilliams tweeted I just had a great workout. Which translates to he must have shot lights out. That's my guess.

Follow Givony's tweets and you will learn a lot. When asked who Houston would likely pick at 14...

Amongst likely still on board: Aldrich, Patterson, Henry, ??? RT @houtexmajorin: Houston's targets?

I also read on another tweet Portland want Patrick Patterson and is offering Fernandez for the 13th pick from Toronto. Everyone knows I love Sanders and think one day he will probably be more valuable than Aldrich. But the more I watch Patterson the more I like this kid. He has been successful at every level and he has great character. He is slightly on the small size but bigger than Carl landry and almost as explosive okay a little less than almost but good. If we walk away with Patterson with our pick I would be ecstatic.

I don't think it will happen because Toronto would be dumb to let him pass by for Avery bradley. major Stupid move to do that. But that would be my pick at 14 now. He can come in and play immediately.

Sanders is a project. As for Aldrich over Sanders I am not sure. But I can understand that Aldrich can come in and contribute today. And why the Rockets would pick him. He has a funky shot and will never shoot outside of 15 feet consistently but he fills a need right away. So if we get Aldrich that will be okay too. Just not spectacular.

How many minutes does each pick last? And when are the Wizards on the clock? I have work after the draft starts tomorrow and I need to know if I need to cancel work to catch the Rockets pick.

Here is more evidence of Morey hard at work

Several teams say the Rockets are working hard to try to package No. 14 and at least one veteran to move higher into the lottery. "That's a fair assessment," said one GM. Plus, Houston has two other major chips to play with -- the right to swap picks with the Knicks in the 2011 Draft, protected for the first selection, and New York's 2012 first-rounder, both from the Tracy McGrady trade.

    Rep earned !

    "ONE VETERAN"

Yep, just like I thought, not a young player, but a veteran one....

    That means.....I would guess.

    3. Shane

Those would be the only veterans with real trade value.

But that's a legitimate strategy. I continue to believe that the best deals are at the trade deadline, where desperate general managers are under orders to shake things up.

I think you might be right. If we keep 14 (and Henry is gone) then Anderson is the pick.

If we trade down in the first then I think we're looking hard at Elliot Williams.

If we get a 2nd round pick, I wouldn't be surprised if Samhan our Blakely are the targets.

Come on NBA draft, hurry up!

I really hope we trade up but I don't want to lose all of our assets for a S&T deal for an elite player!

I really like Monroe, reminds me a bit of LaMarcus Aldridge... and I also like Favors too but I doubt we trade that high (fingers crossed?).

As for guards we could get, X.Henry isn't too shabby but I really want to see Paul George in a Rockets uniform.

i thought the reason he isn't rated higher on draft boards was b/c of his poor defense

It's unlikely to be Battier, in the sense that the leadership and skillset he provides is more suited for a team on the brink of playoff success. None of the teams with the higher picks fulfill that role. Certainly a team may want him, but it wouldn't be the smartest move.

And I don't think Martin or Ariza are likely to be traded, particularly given the complimentary skillsets they provide if Yao is to return. Not to mention, they're hardly veterans in any sense of the word.

So I'm confused which so called veteran they're shopping. Jeffries, maybe.

If Morey decides to go all in after Cousins, I would understand the gamble. Impact centers with 20-10 potential don't come around too often. I think Sacramento is the most likely trading partner, though. With Khan at the helm in Minnesota, I just don't think a reasonable deal will be there for all parties. I think it is more likely that the Rockets will trade back.
