Come on now! I don't know y'alls history but there's no rule stating he can't participate in this forum or board. Perhaps he finds it to be the best out there hence he posts here despite a lack of French players on the Rockets.
He's entitled to his opinion, he doesn't support the US and supports Germany thats fine. (Hopefully he is from Germany hence the reason why otherwise it would be worse if he is an American that doesn't support the US and supports Germany).

Ignore him if you find him to be trolling.

I'm not hoping for anything. I have faith in this team that on any given day, they can win.

Each of these teams can beat US. Germany for obvious reasons, Ghana has a lot of talent, just don't play tactically strong, and Serbia as you say are defensive minded.

Either way, here on out it's going to be tough...but if this team has proved anything its that they can win games tough.

Have zero interest in playing Serbia. Would rather face Germany or Ghana.

Altidore played a great game other than missing a chance or two putting the ball in the net; created many opportunities for his teamates and set plays as well especially second half.

Bradley played an excellent first half but slowed down a bit second half due to maybe the fatigue factor.

Landon Donovon did not do a whole darn thing other than scoring the golden goal. I don't see him having any future playing for any elite euro league, but Altidore does.

Cherundolo played well whereas Bornstein was awful. Beasley got a yellow card that's not deserved, he just got another Findley treatment instead of Fabiano's that he should have got a red card but got rewarded a goal.

Dempsey should know better now that to score a goal it does not have to be a power shot, sometimes a soft touch, a little angle may serve better.

They really should have replay, they have a fifa official there, with a monitor, would take only a second to see if someone is offside or not.

Agreed. They should do it college football style. It takes 2 seconds.

The implications of blown calls like this are too huge imo..

    1) How do you actually implement it?
Do you stop the play every time and review and then continue?
Do you let play go on until ball is out of play and review ...?

    2) Once you start review offside, you will need to review everything else at well ... At least all the goals, all the fouls (or not foul) in the penalty area, corner or goal kicks ...

Yes, thanks, Campos he is. Chilavert is another goalkeeper with character too.

I missed the Korean goal. Was it good?

I really have not put that much thought into it, I am sure it could be done, but would need a proper system for sure.

Maybe a challenge system like the NFL, where a coach gets a chance to challenge 1 call a half, and if it is rule he was right, he keeps his challenge, if not, he loses it.

I like the flag idea. It keeps it simple and avoids excessive delay.

Coaches' challenge sounds half way reasonable but the problem remains, when do you do the review if the AR never flags for offside ?
The play could go on forever.

DD, I think you missed the beauty of a soccer match. A soccer match resembles real life. The regrets, missed calls, floppings, hand balls, etc. completed the game.

NFL and NBA are easy to review. Plays stop all the time. Not so with soccer.

LOL - I missed the beauty? ROFLMAO !!!!!!!

A guy who had season tickets at Old Trafford for 2 years, and I missed the beauty....heheh.

Look, I get the game, I just think they can make it better, all that crap you listed.......Missed calls, Flops, hand balls...etc....don't make the game beautiful they hinder it.

We are just NOT going to agree.....but hey, maybe my beauty is just different than yours.

Maybe you can only challenge on goals, or awarded PKs?

Again, I don't really have a working system, I would just like to see something to where they stop punishing teams that don't deserve it.

Just get the calls right, and another thing I would like to see....Yellow cards get rescinded more often, and given to players who flop.

Kaka's 2nd yellow should be tossed out, Findley's 2nd as well.......and the Italian's flop in the box should be called....(that may be an instance where a challenge would be useful).
