yea they played great to be a 7 seed? that Suns team were still the Suns that were killin everybody with the Dantoni offense
yeah, a lot of people don't realize this. i think a lot of people think LA was a 7-8th seed that year and went straight to first after acquiring Gasol. The Lakers were on a roll even before Gasol. Then Bynum got injured, which is the reason they went after Gasol. that's another reason why that trade was so unfair at the time, it made the best team in the west even better
He does seem to be cool with stans that hit him back with elbows. Wade did it before. Course, Raw Jaw got about 7 elbows with 3 different teams from Kobe. He cracked him good once when Bell was w/ Utah.
Ear Jordan is out for sure, he's making no bones about it. Brown may be gone as well, he looked butthurt during a post parade interview, "I don't see how you can blow up a team that just won the championship." Appeared to be talking about himself, maybe about the Bynum rumors. Mitch knows what happened last time they won in 2002. They made so many status quo decisions that they were threadbare on the bench in 2003. Under the axiom of "we need to let the team defend their title until they're beat", the FO wound up being the driving force behind their own demise.
Smush Parker bringing the ball up the floor to have Brian Cook set screens for Kobe. LA was nothing without Gasol, post-Shaq. Kobe was ridiculous, but he couldn't carry a team in the west without a 2nd option. Back on topic though, why would LA need Bell when they have Artest?
the best part of that video is watching the scoreboard and how the lakers were losing almost every time we got to see the score.
