I actually like the deal before the bosh trade. I think all we need us paul unlike everyone else im not that big on bosh. Also, I believe mike harris is still on our roster?
Was it already at least that long ago that people thought he would be starting for the Lakers? He's been in the league for four seasons now, and he's still a scrub IMO.
would you do this trade...? Hill, C-Bud, NY future 1st, and #14 for #4, C. Brewer, and R. Rubio Ming/Cousins Scola Ariza/Battier Martin/Brewer Brooks/Lowry and Ricky Rubio on the way
Would you....could you....what if....sometimes....i wish....blaah. What's wrong with posting in existing threads or at least making more specific titles? And there's no way would Minnesota do this, not to mention we get a traffic jam at the point and lose our PF of the future.
I don't know about the rest of you, but I would strongly consider trading Budinger and Jared Jeffries in a sign-and-trade for Lebron. What about you???
Should we think about trading for CP3? Landing Bosh in free agency is pretty unlikely. Should we think about going after Chris Paul instead? New Orleans is struggling financially and we have plenty of assets to offer them. I truly think with Martin, a healthy Yao, an elite PG in CP3, and a strong supporting cast we could make a legit run at a title. Not sure if NO is really considering trading CP3 though, let alone to a division rival.
I think there was a thread earlier today merged that involved getting chris paul, by us trading brooks for #10 indiana, then trading #10 to chris paul, then trying to lure chris bosh.
What about Joe Alexander? He's an unrestricted free agent right now. He's young, athletic, and raw, something that fits along with Morey's plans and for our team's structure right now
RealGM wiretap reporting that Miami would use thier pick (18th) to dump some salary. We have a 3 million dollar trade exception from the Carl Landry trade according to the ESPN trade machine. Other than Wade the only other salary they have is Beasely, Jones, Cook and Chalmers. We could perhaps take Beasely or James Jones with the pick for a TPE. The salaries might be too high to match though ( I am not sure how TPEs work exactly with the 125% rule ). Alternatively we could take Cook + Chalmers + 18th for TPE + future 2nd. Both Cook and Chalmers are expirings this year, which we can play with at the deadline. Saves the Heat about 4.5 million in cap space (Cook: 2.16m, Chalmers: .85m, 18th: 1.4m)
From the recent rumors about New Jersey looking to trade Chris Douglas-Roberts just to clear about $400k in cap room, and with the Nets now leaning towards taking Wesley Johnson with the #3 pick, I was wondering if the Nets would be interested in dealing Terrence Williams to the Rockets for a future pick or two. Maybe for the Rockets' 2011 second rounder (the higher of theirs and the Clippers') and the Rockets' own 2012 first rounder (lottery protected). I personally think Terrence Williams is a do-it-all small forward with sick athleticism. He could be a nice addition to the Rockets, long-term. Just spit-balling.
